Just finished reading the whole story, was an amazing read, can't wait for the next chapter, really want the next chapter so we can get past the current end

Okay just read all of the chapter and I have to say only one thing: This was SO FREAKING GOOD!

Why didn't he just kill the heatblast and be done with it? It's purpose was to stall ben right, so why didn't he just off it? Gwen was much more important to ben and she needed his help so why did he continue wasting time with his enemy? Ben was diamondhead with literally diamond hard skin that could withstand the heat. Wouldn't it have been easy for him to change his arms into blades and ram it into the heatblast's chest to kill it then run through the forest to find gwen with xlr8 and rescue her? I know that you placed the tags as hurt/comfort/drama, but this has too much angst. I never really liked angst, it makes me feel like an overly edgy teenager that thinks that sparkly vampires are cool. In other words: like the universe's most disgusting abomination. Please tone down the angst next time. Life is already so full of it we don't need it to clog your story too.

I was so excited to find out you'd updated. I'd like my excitement back. :(

Part of me is praising you for your storytelling while the rest of me is just angry and sad. These poor kids. It's just one thing after another for them, and this chapter is the worst by far. They might be able to move past this and become stronger as a result, or they might end up back at square one, with Gwen afraid to even go outside and Ben willing to maim his arm to get rid of the Omnitrix. Maybe Tetrax and Gluto will shake things up somehow? Hopefully? I honestly can't see how they can help much, though.

tl;dr: This was a great chapter that had me riveted until the end but my heart is lying on the floor in pieces you jerk.

I figured that Ben would become Wolfblitzer for the party. I had a hunch that Tetrax would be back. I knew Max would approve of Bwen. But what I didn't realize is that Natalie would accept this relationship. Or that she would cover for them. Finally. I have a question. How old are Ben & Gwen in your fiction?

I truly believe that the best lies are weaved out of the truth. (Not that you should be lying, mind you.) And Max understands that. My throat went dry when Sandra heard what Max said. He really does blame himself. That's the thing about forgiveness. Sometimes, you have to forgive yourself.

I question about the usage of names. I know it's a rather mundane gripe but I'm curious about it. why use Wildmutt over Vulpimancer? is that a 'young ben' thing? is it something with your own preference or knowledge? was it on purpose or was that just the first thing that seemed to stick?

funnily enough your reason for why ghost freak came back is probably as close to the truth as anyone is gonna get. the reason why ghost freak was even conscious in the first place was because his mind was present in every one of his cells. Given the fact that the watch's aliens come with personalities inherent to them it's not a stretch that a race who's DNA has every memory of it's progenitor inside it including their personality and consciousness would be able to push more of their personality through the bleedover effect. Ectoneurite form doesn't just carry the instincts of the race. it has Z'skayer's entire existence in it.

Thanks for the read so far, im looking forward to more. somethings are a bit iffy for me in this chapter, like ben even coming close to losing a battle with an emaciated heatblast, even if he is trying to get back to gwen, which would make him fight harder imo. i really liked everything else though, all i can say is well damn there's more damage than what they've managed to heal which hurts me but i understand that its to push things forward. I hope that they manage to get around it and work things out, just not painstakingly slow. whatever you decide to do next i'm waiting for it. Until next time

I felt concern and dread throughout this chapter. Nice. I was able to sufficiently imagine the creeping horror of the shadows in the woods and the blood-freezing taunts of that Heatblast. You write good and it shows. Good job.
