Hey! Sorry it took so long to review the last chapter.

This was an interesting read. Aside from the run-on sentences, I thought it was nice. I liked reading about the bond between the brothere, and I liked how you characterized Peach in Chapter 7. That was really nice, seeing her trying to escape like that instead of feebly calling out "Mario, help me." I also really appreciated the ending lines. Really, the bond between family is unbreakable. No matter what happens, whether it be death nor the trials of life; nothing can change the fact that these two are siblings.

I like how brave Peach is in this story. She is also a quick thinker, as showcased by her interactions with the Koopalings and Da Broodals. I also liked the interactions between Wendy and Hariet. Those were funny.

Wow. That is a nice little connection. I never thought that there was a deeper reason why Luigi was afraid of Boos so much, but him being tormented by Kamek when he was a baby makes sense. Also, it is a nice callback to Yoshi's Island.

You did a good job. I liked the fight scene, and the exchange between Mario and Luigi after it was over was very heartwarming.

This was an interesting chapter. I like how you are building up a confrontation between the Mario brothers and the Koopalings. That ought to be an interesting fight. I also like how Luigi was able to possess the tropical Wiggler. On a side note, I find the capture ability from Odyssey to be a fascinating concept.

I am glad that they rescued Cappy. I also like how Cappy was characterized here. He seems to be someone who cares deeply about Mario. Actually, now that I think about it, I think that might be your greatest strength; your characterization. You can portray characters really well. In each of your stories that I have read, I have noticed that each character has a solid and likeable personality. Good job :)

The fight scene/dream sequence was really good. I liked how you wrote the descriptions and the action during that segment. On top of which, I really liked seeing the Koopalings. I think it'll be fun to see how they interact with the Broodals.

I liked the moment shared between Mario and Luigi, especially when Mario hugged his brother. That was very sweet. I am also relieved that they managed to get to the clinic. Hopefully soon they will be able to rescue Cappy and Peach.

This was interesting. I like the idea of Mario getting stranded in the Lost Kingsom. Hopefully, he'll be able to get back up on his feet and rescue the Princess. I also found Luigi's determination to save Mario at the end very heart warming. It is a very good thing that he was also in the Lost Kingdom.

Aside from a few run-in sentences, I'd say that this is a pretty good start. I'll definitely read more.

First off, I would like to apologize for taking so long again to read this. I know I give the same stupid excuse all the time, but I haven't been feeling well lately mainly because of managing both my account and my FictionPress account. But I do want to thank you for cheering me up when I messaged you that night. Because of you and TGN, I feel a lot better now that I am working on Night Shadow episodes. Speaking of which, have you checked out the rest of Jacked Up Headless Reunion. I know you read the first chapter, but I am not sure if you read the rest. You don't have to rush yourself, I was just curious ;)

Anyways, as for the chapter itself, It was nice to see that Bowser doesn't plan on giving up anytime soon. He wants to marry Princess Peach and he won't stop at anything to get what he selfishly desires.

Speaking of the princess, I always thought she and Mario were dating one another in the games, but it was just boyfriend and girlfriend. Never knew Peach was confused about her feelings towards Mario. Guess that's one of the perks of Mario, you can imagine it in however you want. Mario is all about immagination, that's what I like to believe. ;)

Reading the last part of this chapter made me wish that Luigi was able to tag along in Super Mario Odyssey. I imagined that you could switch between him and Mario throughout the levels. While Mario had Cappy as his gimmick, Luigi could use his Poltergust and Polterpup to locate hidden Power Moons and find some Regional Coins and other collectibles. I also thought one of his costumes could be Professor E. Gadd.

One error I noticed in here was this.

~"Once Mario and I save Peach, I'll head back to the Lost Kingdom and retrieve it from the clinic where I left it in the capable hands of those two Toads who are back of the clinic."~

Luigi said that someone was at the clinic twice. What I think it was meant to be was...

"Once Mario and I save Peach, I'll head back to the Lost Kingdom and retrieve it from the clinic, where I left in the capable hands of those two Toads."

Unless if Cappy's retarded and needed to be told twice then it would make sense Luigi would say it like that. (This is just a joke, it's not meant to offend you, Ruby :))

Overall, this has been one fantastic story to read, Ruby. If you want, I can give you my full review of the story through a PM, as I feel I would take up too much space if I wrote it on here. But I love this chapter overall and I want to say congradulations on finishing the story. Good luck on what you have next and I'll see you next time!

Ouch. I remember you said you were sick, but I didn't expect that. I really hope you're feeling better now.

I know this is technically a side story that takes place in the middle of Odyssey, but I think it's fair that this story has ended this way. With Mario and Luigi, their brotherly bond has proven to be strong. And with Cappy, they feel confident in their quest to rescue Peach.

As for the subplots, Bowser is determined that his wedding will be perfect. Of course, we know how THAT turned out. Peach and Tiara had their chance to escape but failed. Albeit, it was a valiant attempt. For them to talk about Peach's feelings towards Mario, I know it's complicated. I feel like Nintendo are still maintaining their status as close friends so that Mario doesn't change from plumber to royalty, or something like that. Either way, I feel as though Peach has take a long, hard look at her feelings deeply and truly decide if her love for him is real or not. If she thinks of him as just a very close friend, then maybe it's for the best. At least she's not rejecting him unlike what happened during the game's conclusion.

One slight error I saw was when you wrote "Laker Kingdom" around the start of Peach and Tiara's interlude.

And lastly, if I can suggest something, there is a story out there that also focuses on Mario and Luigi's brotherly bond but has some ties to the marriage rejection on the moon. It's called "The Devil's in the Details" by Crystal Rose of Pollux. It's more Luigi-centric and it takes place in the Smash Bros. universe, but it focuses on Mario just as much. Peach also has a role in that story, too. Alongside that, there's a "World of Light" story that she finished a few months ago. Most of her stories connect to one another, and I love every single one. For starters though, you should read the first one I recommended to understand the storyline chronologically. I'm sure you'll love it though.

I think Peach is confused with her feelings for Mario too; she views him as a friend but at the same time she's probably worried Mario doesn't share those feelings for her and has some insecurities about someone loving her romantically.

I see peach a fighter and not willing to go down without one, but when bowser holds someone she loves dearly and her people are in danger she will submit; but won't make it easy.

H-holy shit! Go Princess Peach! Does she wait for Mario to come and save her like always? Hell to the no! She straight up saves herself!

I have to say Ruby, for the penultimate chapter, this was pretty damn amazing! Kinda sucks that this is the second to last chapter before this ends, but hey, it's better to end it on a good note rather than drag it out just for the sake of having it on the first page of the story list. Peach's battle against the Koopalings and the Broodals was definitely worth the read, as I could perfectly imagine her summoning her Smash Ultimate skills to take them down!

Unfortunately, Bowser managed to catch her and Tiara, meaning that the two are gonna be kept in jail for a while. But hey, at least Peach got to show Bowser what she was made of.

I'll be looking foward to the finale of this story, as it is going to be an amazing finale! I have a strong feeling it will be. Knowing you, it's gonna be good! Until the final chapter, I will see you next time, my friend! ;)

Btw, have you had the chance to read the latest chapter of Awakened? I know you proof-read it and I am sorry if this is a bothersome question to you, but I am eager to hear your thoughts.

It’s unfortunate to hear about your recent sickness. I really hope you’re feeling better and that it’ll go away ASAP.

Frankly, I was impressed and interested that this entire chapter was centered around Peach and Tiara’s attempt to escape Bowser, the Broodals, and the Koopalings.

I must say, Peach’s revised role here gives her some light that she actually tried to stand up for herself. We also get to understand her side of the story as well as her personal thoughts, something we hardly see in most Mario games (Paper Mario 64 and TTYD being a few exceptions).

I still think Nintendo is still going to keep her role stagnant for the major Mario titles, and it’s gonna be tiresome. She’s receiving the same treatment Sega is doing to Tails, to be honest. Nevertheless, glad to see you back and hope you feel better soon.
