Brilliant ! Absolutely fantastic ! well done on a very well written, on the edge of your seat story ! I said it before but I really think that your writing has come on in this story. I always enjoy your stories and although I am sad it has ended I really do appreciate the effort you have taken to write and continue this story.
So take a well earned rest and come back refreshed when you are ready to start again.
May I make a plea to any former writers to also come back you are all missed ! I really do mean that.

Too say I'm sorry to see this remarkable story end would be a huge understatement. What a Herculean effort for you to give the readers such a terrific, compelling story. Phew! One hundred and eleven great chapters produced on a daily basis and we've been with you every step of the way. No wonder you're exhausted! LOL. I was a bit dismayed to hear you say at the start that you'd run out of steam and I noted that this was the last chapter as I felt there was still too much going on to finish so soon, but all the loose endings have been nicely pulled together and Mike and Steve are well and truly back together where they belong for the foreseeable future anyway. In their precarious profession the series decided it wasn't going to be all that long but, as long as we have writers like you with the wonderful imagination to continue turning put these stories to such a high standard, we can carry on enjoying the fun (and the not so fun) times that our guys get up to. Thank you for such an imaginative, detailed and well thought out crime story, and thank you for portraying the emotional side of this story, and the relationship between Mike and Steve, Jeannie and all the rest of the characters involved, so well and so true too. I've thoroughly enjoyed it. Now put your feet up and have a rest... but not for too long!

What a marathon! 4 months worth of great reading about our favorite boys. To say I’ll miss your daily chapters will be an understatement. I don’t know how you kept up this pace, but it has been so appreciated. You take a well deserved break. We will all be waiting eagerly when you are rejuvenated enough to share another great Mike and Steve adventure in only the way you can write it! Thank you again for your dedication to the beloved characters, and to all of us.

Well at last a arrest made ! Now with the information that Grabowiski has made does that mean that Mike and Steve are not going home ? If so Mike is not going to like not being able to spend more time with Jeannine before she goes back unless Steve stops on his own but I do not think Mike would let that happen.
I liked the way you had Steve handle the interview and Mike just sat back and used the glare when needed. They both know each other so well now that they almost work as one in interviews.
Well done on another good chapter and for managing to keep the story going.

I couldn't work with Mike. My hunches aren't good enough! What I thought was going to happen didn't! So glad I didn't voice it out loud. LOL. Carol Rochford's caught good and proper. Great detective work on our guys part and great creative writing on your part. One hundred and ten chapters and your writing is still showing the quality we all admire you for. It was good that Mike let Steve take the lead this time, but no-one can deny that, though much of the donkey work has been done by Steve and the team, the majority of the brainstorming all the way through has been done by Mike. Even side-lined with injuries he's stayed in touch with this case and has pointed the guys in directions they probably wouldn't have thought of looking. He was also on the ball with Walker/Peterson/McMillen. His parents certainly tried to cover his tracks moving about so much, and why did he use his previous victim's name? Well, now they have a third murder they can chalk up to him. How many more will they find? What a co-incidence that Mike recognised him from all those years ago. Without that, he would most likely have continued to get away with more murders... until he slipped up. And, as Steve has just said, most murderers do... eventually.

Sounds like the Rochford case is getting all tied up nice and neat. Steve did a good job laying it out for the husband murderer! What a tangled web of violence - I can understand why her uncle was afraid of her. Her lawyer will have to use all his skills to get a plea bargain for her. And what kind of charges will Bayner face since he was involved in the cover up? So glad for our boys that this case is close to ending, but sad for us that the story could be winding down too. I really can’t believe the stamina, talent, and drive it has taken you to write 110 chapters. You have been so faithful to all of us, and have never let us down! The quality of the writing about our beloved Mike and Steve has been exceptional, and has been quite a journey. Thank you so much! And it sounds like they have another tough case developing with murderer Jeremy Walker. What kind of a nut job would take on the name of his last murder victim? Are you going to take us down the path to his arrest too? I will go on whatever ride you want to take us on! Walker wouldn’t go after Mike would he?

There's just nothing funnier than when Mike winds Steve up, you'd think Steve would know by now what Mike is doing but he never seems to! You write these characters so well, capturing the voice, the mannerisms and the personality of each of them so well, the chapters just leap off the page. I don't know how many more chapters you have left but quite selfishly I hope for many more!

Well I guess Steve will need a good meal after all of that ! Trust Mike to start playing around with him but he had better not go to far. Looks like they are finally getting somewhere with this case. Good idea for the rookies to help out as it will be a good expirence for them.
Another good update this story gets better as it goes along.

Mike's certainly back on form and is clearly being exceedingly wicked where Steve's concerned. He just loves winding him up. If he wound me up that much a chocolate bar just wouldn't be enough to cut it for me. But... his hunch has paid off yet again. I have my thoughts on what Steve's found but I dare say I'll be wrong... again... so I'm not going to voice them this time. LOL. Great idea of Steve's to use the rookies to help them. It eases the burden for our guys and it's great experience for the rookies which can only help their future careers to be singled out by such an illustrious pair of homicide detectives. Can't wait for the next chapter to find out where you're taking the case from here.

Another great chapter. You keep turning them out. I can envision that whole chapter playing before me. The banter between Mike and Steve is so believable. Glad they have a constant tail on Walker. I am surprised Mike would give up the case to another Homicide duo. It seems like the Foster case struck a nerve with Mike, and that he would want first hand in serving justice. I guess it shows how much faith he has in his team.
Glad they have the rookies back helping them - great idea! And Mike just pulled another great hunch out of his fedora about the warehouse and Rochford. Steve had to go digging for it - poor Steve- but learning all the time from the master. The candy bar was a nice touch - Steve deserved a little kindness after all that time consuming work. Let’s hope this connection is what they need to nail Rochford and Bayner before Mike gets too old and has to retire! Thank you for your commitment to this story. Loving every chapter, and nighttime reading!

Just like my dad it's when Mike's voice gets very calm and measured that you know you are in big trouble! I sure hope Mike is convinced once and for all that he is back in the game. It's great that Mike is still teaching Steve and Steve is still open to learning and taking everything in! Seems as though Walker is a real psycho.
