Wow! This rewrite really does make the story a lot better, and not just in terms of flow and cohesion! I also like how you've taken a lot of the edginess from it so my boi Naofumi isn't giving Hajime a run for his money! Keep up the great work! :thumbsup

I've read your story from start to finish probably at least twice since before you began the process of rewriting it. Whilst I can understand wanting to rewrite it to make it flow better and make more sense, I do still think its a shame for the original version to basically become lost.

Personally I never realised noticed too many issues with the original story, outside of the fact that, if I remember right, your original story featured Naofumi make a violent escape from the capital dungeons, resulting in a mans death. He later meets up with Ren who, despite seemingly having some awareness of what happened in the capital, still elects to allow Naofumi to join him on a dragon hunt. Despite him firmly believing Naofumi to be a criminal, thus meaning he'd surely be more likely to turn Naofumi over to the gaurds rather than invite him on a quest.

Anyways, that aside, regardless of any potential issues with the original story, I still generally enjoyed it a fair bit, and like I said, I find it a shame for it to get overwritten. So, if its possible, can I please request you consider restoring the original story. Either in this fanfiction and continuing the rewrite in a different fanfiction, or just reposting the original in its own seperate story. Both would work just fine, so long as the original comes back, so anyone who enjoyed it, like me, can still re-read it.

Also, second more minor request, but can you please give names / titles to your stories chapters. It would make it much easier to hop back to specific parts of the story if one so desires. Small QoL thing that I think would be benefit your story.

Want to cap this off by saying Im enjoying the rewrite so far, and I await the next chapter with enthusiasm. Take care.

Can you please write an alternate ending where Naofumi died just to spite ifrit? And write the aftermath of this. Maybe Fitoria killing the other 3 and telling Naofumi was framed and this isn't a game before killing them. The repercussions of melromaniac of summoning them. New heroes summoned by their respective countries and asking for the king and princess head or be engulfed in war. Thoughts of the queen for not helping the shield hero in the beginning for her political games and watch melromaniac in ruins. Maybe at the end Erhart putting flowers on a nameless tomb saying sorry for not helping enough

Great chapter and I'm happy that some of why he can't absorb the dragon parts was explained a bit, can't wait to see him explore the Demi human village a bit more as well, keep up the good work.

I'm a little confused about the part with the drops from the dragon. You haven't used it before and haven't hinted at him getting stuff like that before so it's safe to assume this is the first time it happened. So with that in mind shouldn't he have been more inclined to investigate more or experiment a bit with his shield. You haven't expanded on him gaining new shields, or trying new things out with his shield so it makes it a little confusing when something new pops up with little to no background info.
