It reminds me of 2 characters. The Joker would probably say something like that. However it more closely resembles Jango Fett's quote I’m just a simple man, trying to make my way in the universe.

I'm good with the slightly ambiguous happy ending. You leave yourself an opening to write the AU should you ever care to so that's not necessarily a bad thing.

It would have to be an extremely weird experience to meet your baby half-sister when your dad has barely started talking about courting again. :) And I'm glad the queen was easily convinced that isolating her daughter probably wasn't the best way to keep her close.

The queen's change of heart is a bit sudden but otherwise it didn't feel too out of character. Honestly, we only get a limited feel for what DG's parents were like before the witch came to power so you can write them however you like. My preference will always be loving and supportive over strict and controlling.

RIP Cain. Who knows what Ahamo will do with you hahaha
Although I've always liked to think Ahamo would approve of Cain and DG, you just never know lol.

You know, I was reading along thinking what a heartwarming chapter this was and then you threw Ahamo at me at the very end and my only reaction was "Oh, dear." :)

I love seeing the band back together again. Interesting that Cain can see the magic on Amelia even if he can't quite see through it.
