Wow! I really loved this! wonderful vignette looking at Thranduil's life from his balcony. Creative way to structure this telling. I love how you started each section with Thranduil back at his desk (I laughed each time, until the time when Enery had been killed)and ended each section closing the balcony doors until the last when Legolas finally came back. *happy tear drops* You write of Thranduil's desolation after losing Enery very effectively. His pain is palpable. I also loved the visceral threat he is levying to evil when Legolas is leaving to eventually become part of the Fellowship. wonderfully written!

What a great little story. I loved seeing time pass on Thranduil’s balcony. What a creative way to show key moments in his life.

This story was sweet and sad and touching. It is very well done. I liked the style you wrote it. With the repetitions, showing the passing of time, of change, of life and how it passes by him, and at the same time how it affects him, moves him, hits him... and then I loved the ending, how he didn't let that moment pass, but ran down to hug him as the loving father he is.

What a sweet and sonetimes heartbreaking story. I loved getting to see the passing of time through Thranduil’s eyes.

I really liked this one. Although it was also sad. Especially when Thranduil didn't join his wife and Legolas but instead returned to work. Some times you should just let work be work, there will always be more of that. Moments with his family are precious and I'm sure he wished he had spent more time with them after his wife died.

I have already read this as a chapter of other story of yours, but it is so beautiful that deserves a second rewiew. Loved it.
