read this story after a nightmare woke me up, I have to say it did distract from terrible feelings, short and sweet, he was a fan!

Love the story wish that there was more to it but still a cute story

I'm sorry, I know I'm late, and it's way past Valentine's Day, but this story is amazing! You did such a wonderful job of setting up the whole story, making it so believable that Elena would be frustrated with her career and her friend/manager and her love life. I would be, too! And then when Damon asks her to have dinner with him ... sigh, they were so cute and sexy and perfect, and holy crap, I want Damon to take me out for valentine's day, too, lol! I was so rooting for them to have a connection beyond their dinner date - you totally had me! I did not see the twist coming where Elena believes it was all a trick between Damon and Caroline. Superb writing.
The scene where Elena is scrolling through the online tabloids feeling hurt and betrayed ... My heart broke for her when she couldn't take off the bracelet, because she so wanted her time with Damon to be genuine.
Oh, Damon, sigh... I'm so glad that he ended up being a good guy - and a super rich, available bachelor ;). And that his and Elena's connection was real - and that it will last!

Cute! Loved some of the vocabulary usage though the grammar seemed to fall apart more and more as the story went on which was a little strange...

Sad that Caroline started to look at Elena more like a client than a friend, Elena's feelings should have always come first. I get it that the first date was planned with good intentions so the media wouldn't question Elena even more but doing it over and over after Elena expressed her feelings and thoughts on it..i don't know, Caroline doesn't seem like a real friend anymore.

I really thought Damon was the arranged date, that was honestly interested in Elena but I'm glad it wasn't at all like that, don't think Elena would ever believe in him or the veracity of his feelings if it was indeed arranged.
After reading the whole chapter I thought that maybe Elena should have given them the chance to explain but I really understand why she didn't. She was angry, heartbroken and very probably a bit embarrassed.

It's good that she gave him the opportunity to explain himself though, she deserved to find someone that truly likes her after everything that happened with Wes.

Awwww. I loved it! So fluffy and happy and yet just enough angst for you to long for them to connect and fix everything.

I loved how super sweet Damon was at dinner. All the little things he noticed about her and her bracelet being real. I thought it was so perfect that he just came in there and rescued her from being alone after all the fakeness and fuss that was put on Elena to do what was expected for her career. She reminded me of a princess that hated her castle and palace life, again like Aladdin and longed to be free and real.
It took me by total surprise that he was in on it and how that all went down and I felt so bad for her!
Then the whole explanation later and how he owned the restaurant and how he just moved in while she was again on display at the public event. You could feel her longing for it to have been real when she looked at all the articles too.
And that kiss just so sudden and yet so perfect that she wasn't even upset. Just his voice in her ear giving her shivers was just mmm.
Loved the cute ending and the hint of a proposal that would be next. Just adorableness all around! Great job!
