the imagery in this one is spectacular! the "blood trickling from his brow" is such a small thing but it makes a world of difference in improving how upsetting that scene was. lloyd letting kai touch his pulse is a great one too.

i don't know if you meant it, but lloyd saying, "um. obviously" like he doesn't remember it pleases my belief that he actually chose to go with FSM because ninjago and his own values felt so distant in the grasslands but he got sent back anyway, so it's great to me how you had him mention that he was confused there.

Ah, man, the relationship between these two is so sweet! Great job! And thank you so much for giving us all a bit of closure for that arc! I love the ending, with Lloyd asking to learn the family trade of blacksmithing! Lloyd may not have the best family by blood, but he certainly has the best bros (and sis!) in Ninjago!

Thank you for giving us some emotional and satisfying conclusions to season 10. Thank you so much.

My friend and I were discussing season 10 and every time we brought up how Cole's "fall" didn't have much emotional pull or what the heck with the FSM, I'd mention you had a story that fixed that, haha. I found myself nodding at Kai's initial reaction to learning about the FSM's offer too when I read this. Siiiiigh, oh Lloyd. One day you'll have something go right for you in your life. We hope.

Kay, so first off, I love the way they're discussing the little details here. Also, Lloyd sitting on top of a table is just a really great image to me. A really great one.
Yes, Lloyd, you /totally/ need a dragon on your blade, and Kai knows it. And it's nice to see that Kai's confidence in his skills has increased after how nervous he was about forging the golden weapons. Oh, and of course he's gonna suggest having it bite someone's head off...
Ooh. Here comes the angst. If anyone made it through watching that moment without being at least a little freaked out, they are clearly far more emotionally stable than I am... Poor Kai - and everyone else - almost having /two/ different family members die in less than 24 hrs definitely left its mark...

Aw, but this is so sad... Poor babies, talking about what Lloyd's grandfather said. I have to feel like it was kinda a jerky move. Like, maybe appologize for the role you played in the poor kids sucky life, FSM? Or not. Oof, and Kai's inner emotions here are so well done. Brings on just the right feels.
This. This is the conversation that needed to happen. I totally think the way you've written Lloyd's perspective on how confusing it all was is accurate.
But - "did you really think I'd leave you?" okay, yes, Lloyd in all his self sacrificing, cinnamon rollish glory could /never/ leave his family.
No. No, I'm not okay. Why did you have to mention this kid's abandonment issues? But very, very valid, and I think Lloyd would definitely happen to have this thought cross his mind at some point.
Gross, sappy hug? Whatever. They both needed it. And it was such a sweet sibling moment that makes me smile every time I read it.
Fight me, but Kai kinda has a good point here. Might have to agree at least a little about the FSM being a bit of a jerk...

So cute! I love the mix of angst and fluff you’ve perfected for your stories! I also love how Kai just knew Lloyd wanted a dragon because of course he does. And him hating his family history of blacksmithing with him cause he’s family. AHHH, just so good!

I feel like the best thing I can say about the last episode is that it offers plenty of writing prompts for all these wonderful authors to take up, and I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing. I guess it's bad for the episode, but good for the fanfic writers.

Regardless, you've once again delivered a fantastic piece that gives everything the episode doesn't.

I'm a sucker for anything about Lloyd and Kai's friendship, and you write it best. The beginning is so good! I love how they're trying to be happy, but the trauma of everything that happened keeps creeping back like a cyst that just won't go away.

Kai's anger at the FSM struck me in my soul. I feel him. I really do.

I love how Lloyd describes why he stays and how much his family means to him. It's just so! sweet! And I love how gentle and sweet he is in comforting Kai. Honestly, it almost made me cry (I got that feeling in the nose, you know?).

And the ending! I'm smiling like a darn idiot. This is so good. Wonderful job!

Honestly, if it had been done right, I wouldn't have blamed Lloyd for choosing to stay with his grandfather. I mean, that place was BEAUTIFUL. And they were gonna go somewhere even more beautiful, and Lloyd's had so much strife. But still, of COURSE he would stay. He loves his family.

Season 10 was awesome. I just wished the finale had been a two-parter. Still epic. Can't wait to see how you incorporate it into your fanfics!

But boy that episode...was bad enough watching Cole fall to his apparent death (though in all honesty..I thought it would've been stretched out a bit more, I *so* wanted to see memories or flash-backs of his mother D:)

But then Lloyd...my heart was in my throat, I genuinely thought he'd died. And he *was* dead..though if only for a short time, I assume he was in the Departed Realm? But yeah man what an episode, felt a little rushed yeah but it was good!

..although, Kai wasn't that great a blacksmith to begin with, even admitted it himself, so where did the sudden talent come from? We may never know :O
