Hi, I've been reading a lot of your comments about Zuko and Azula's relationship and was interested in reading the way you would write it down.
One thing I can't help but noticed -and can't understand- is the power of Sokka from the Southern water tribe in the Fire Nation. I mean how does he get to have a say in the Princess of the Fire Nation's status in her own country ? How could Fire Nation citizens accept it ? To them it would be as though Zuko is giving up the country to foreigners. The FN has already been defeated by the Avatar and his allies and now, they have to bow down to the whole world. Azula's trial should be a rallying point to all the opposing of Zuko's new politics, a way to the nationalists to rise the country into a possible civil war. Her trial would become the ssymbol of Fire Nation's pride and dignity.
Anyway the fact Sokka that a foreigner seems to hold such powers in the Fire Nation shouldn't sit right for the citizens I think.
I was personally disappointed with the ending being so abrupt as I don't get why Zuko would be so easily accepted as a king when he was basically a traitor who was put there by the Avatar - some extremely powerful foreigner that shouldn't be all that popular in the FN. I'd love to read your opinion about that.
Anyway my other question concerns Zuko's request to Azula about their uncle. Does it mean that Azula has to appreciate every person of Zuko's entourage for her "redemption" to be true ? If let's say she desn't want to have anything to do with the Gaang, Iroh, Maï and Tylee or anything remind of her "humiliating" loss to Zuko and Katara what would be the problem with that ? That's a question I can't help but ask as most Azula's redemption meta seem to imply that for her to be fully redempted she has to be a good tamed girl bowing to the Avatar's mightiness. That last sentence isn't directed at you personally, of course.

Just wanted to say that I really like your story. I always wanted to believe that Azula has good in her just like Zuko and it is nice to read about her actually caring for him. I've been reading a few other fanfictions in which Azula's is always described as a monster with no emotions and I never liked that.
Clearly I also like the Team Avatar friendship you describe and write about very well and when you wrote from Sokka's perspective, that was really funny!
I really hope I'll be reading the next chapter to your story soon!:D

Not much happened this chapter but it was sweet. I'm on team Princess Petulant. Go show that peasent how a fire princess spots whale sharks.
Also I want a moment where Azula and Suki duke it out. It's a random thought.

Shark Whale? Is it shark sized whale or whale sized shark? The latter sounds terrifying...

I love Azula's character development in this story so much! And her relationship with Zuko as well. And also Sokka and Zuko's bromance. Well, actually I love everything about this story. I really don't understand why it doesn't get more recognition. I hope it does because it is really good.
