Spartans wouldn't let anyone examine their armor who's not unsc.

So your gonna basically fuck up how how Spartans have military secrets to keep, yet you have them throw it around casually

Not sure about the whole letting Tali getting to examine their armor and such as that’s pretty high up on the classified list for the UNSC and having to rely on the Normandy crew would not change that. They’ve been taught from childhood to be soldiers and I don’t see them actually letting them have classified infyof that scale. If they ever get back home, they’d more than likely be locked away or killed if the UNSC didn’t have a use for them that’d make them change the punishment.

You do have an interesting idea and start to a story though and I think it could possibly be an interesting read.

Ok maybe not completely on the physical part for energy shields because the only reason I say they do is because the Infinity rammed into a Covenant ship over Requiem and the shields took the impact

But UNSC combat knives are made of steel and titanium which explains why they can cut through shields

An interesting start. I don't think I've seen a xover that takes the MC so early before. Normally it is post-Halo 1 at least. Does their armour even have shields at this point? I can't remember. I do know the armour doesn't support an AI, that came in a later version.
I like the little nod to how difficult to put on or take off the armour is, since neither John or Kelly have had it long enough to learn how to do it themselves yet.

Anyway, I look forward to seeing where it goes.

One thing is for certain is that their armor is made out of titanium so bullets won’t pierce their armor i’tll mostly just bounce off but armor piercing rounds will dent their armor and if given enough punishment would probably go through

Because after all most if not all UNSC weapons use armor piercing rounds to fight the Covenant if they were using regular ammunition and mass effect weapons are similar enough they would be using a lot of their ammunition to take down Elites, Brutes, and Hunters and maybe the other species. In Mass Effect armor piercing rounds are something you have to get

The reason I’m saying this is because they don’t have energy shields yet and their armor has limits to how much they can take, so kinetic barriers will have to do although they won’t be as protected as they are later in the war, because kinetic barriers are only really designed to take mass accelerator rounds not energy based weapons or physical attacks. Energy shields however can take both although energy does deplete shields faster and Geth weapons would probably mess with shields or not considering that their weapons are not true energy weapons just some metal coated with phasic materials unlike the Covenant who use real energy weapons that is capable of burning flesh and melting the toughest metal

One things for certain they’re in for a show with what they are capable of with their abilities and equipment

Although they won’t be as developed as they are later during the war, but on the bright side their personalities will be more human and not so robotic and will be more trusting of aliens

At least in this universe back home that’s debatable

Like bable631 said, this is a very interesting story. I've never Read a Master Chief Crossover Where he comes from the Fall of Reach time period. Bravo, I've Been Looking for a new Master Chief Crossover, and from what I've read, you've got a very good thing starting hear. Hope John and Kelly start a new life in Mass Effect. Keep up the good work and hope to read more soon.

That was neat. I like it.

This is a pretty unique idea for a few reasons:

1. Most people bring the Master Chief to Mass Effect 2 or 3. You obviously brought him to Mass Effect 1.

2. I've never seen a story in which Kelly is the only other person brought from their universe. Usually it's Cortana, all of Blue Team, or some massive fleet.

3. Before the majority of the Human-Covenant war, after MJOLNIR. Only seen one other story like that, but it featured only Sam, and it never took off.

Not sure what to think of it. It's a good start, the xenophobia of the two Spartans is not very large. No 30 year war to install the prejudice. So it could be okay with the turians, quarians, asari, and others. Story is most likely going to be void of change. I hope you distinguish yourself from other authors.
