But honestly I don’t understand her parents behavior: they knew Bella met someone she was falling for, yet they accepted to invite him, all the while trying to set her up with Jacob. One would have expected they would have forbidden Bella to invite Edward, so that it would have been easier for Jake to try and court her. What’s their plan? Maybe they want to scare Edward off? Convince him to leave her and don’t ruin her future position and political commitment? |
