A good story, well thought-out and well written. I am not an Anne/Henry fan and I don't even find them compatible unless you change Henry's personality drastically, but you already made him softer, and it looks well and was done well, so it is readable and his actions now are interesting. I wish Princess Mary could have seen the truth and befriended Anne, but alas it seems it is not meant to be. I am very interested how you will write King François I.

One thing: English Kings had no claim to the French throne for many reasons, and they started the Hundred Year's War more out of ambitions and for economic reasons (Aquitaine, Guyenne) than anything else, so I hope to see sensible Henry on the matter if he wants a solid aliance with France. Will not say more on the matter, or it would be a long post.

It would be charming to see Henry and François saving the Pope together from the Emperor. Glad that Carlos became a villain, for he makes a charming and power-hungry villain. But will the Pope reconcile with Henry? And the Reformation in England if it happens?

By the way, I think we should all be more united in this fandom to make the environment warmer.

Great chapter. Love this story and the content. Its very different from anything I've read here. The character development and chapter length are fantastic. Waiting to read more.

Thing is, even with Charles VI's decree, France was ruled by the Salic Law which were a remnant of the Frankian times. The Salic Succession laws made female inheritance impossible. The throne would only go through males and their line. Francis I came to the throne because he was the closest male relative of Louis XII, since all his sons had died young.
In France, women could not inherit, nor could their children. That is why after the sons of Henry II all died childless, the throne went to the Bourbons

So the Pope is unwilling to cooperatr with Carlos? At least he has a shred of dignity... But your Henry is portrayed as a better man than he was in history

Really well done! I find that I'm not fond at all of the "catholics" in this story I have to say. I have never understood fanaticism no matter the cause.

I love this story! Especially this chapter and I think it would be a good idea for the Pope and Henry to reconcile with Henry riding to his rescue. I also hope that Mary starts to think for herself.

I hope Henry keeps his promise.
