Ahhh i love this and how you portrayed them! Is the story in derek’s POV? This seems pretty true to their characters!

My favorite part was Derek grabbing Casey by the shoulders, looking in to her eyes and telling her not to go to his game...*sigh* there's something about a desperate Derek that makes me swoon. His first sign was quirky cute, I loved it.

There can never be enough Dasey college fics, mostly because I think that's where all of us who ship them see them finally admitting their feelings. Queens for Dasey means freedom from their family and friends and all the questions and judgements about their step sib relationship that they expect to happen. At Queens they get a fresh slate, no one knows them or their history. Their attraction is obvious but I've always thought it was more than just UST although they have plenty of that too. Dasey are like a magnet and steel, they're drawn to each other and no matter how much they might tell themselves they want to stay out of the other's orbit...Never gonna happen. Love this, can't wait for more.

P.S. Hope you like predictions and guesses. My guess for the second sign is Derek pranks Casey's and her reaction his sign, maybe it's the look on her face as she says his name with the break Der-ek!

"But not in the way his hormonal highschool self would have immediately jumped to" (I'm so impressed with Derek and how his thoughts didn't go to how Casey looked)..."(No that was his fourth thought.) Ahh, my mistake for jumping to conclusions too fast, Lol, change is difficult, at least it wasn't his first thought, right, baby steps.

The Dasey library scene could have almost come from the show(if it wasn't on Disney) the way you wrote it, you have their characters down perfectly. How telling was it that Derek completely forgot about his reason for going to the library after finding and teasing Casey. VERY, if you ask me.

Desperate Derek hiding behind his "chance" encounters with Casey firmly telling her she can't under any circumstances attend his game while clearly sweating big time that she might not be getting his subtle (Pfffttt) real meaning made me laugh and swoon a little at the same time. What can I say except I love a slightly desperate Derek who's still in denial about his pining, that was nicely played, but I'm confused as to whether Casey was really as oblivious to him wanting her at the game as Derek seemed to think. She did call him on game day during his very bad case of pre-game jitters and it calmed him down. Plus the fact that she never told Tammy that Derek was her step-brother, that means something more than she admitted to Derek, it has to.

Derek's first sign was extremely cute and I can't wait to see what his second sign is. Lots of Dasey greatness in this already. I think you've managed to channel your inner Derek amazingly well, your writing him very true to the show's version of him. I love this and hope you come back soon.

I think Casey saw through Derek's act of warning her to stay away from his game immediately. She had to know that he would know she would do the opposite of what he told her and therefore picked up on what he really wanted her to do. I think her phonecall on the day of the game kind of backs me up, she knew about his pre game jitters and called to take his mind off it. And it worked :)
Yup, if I was watching a romantic comedy and Casey went running back to give Derek the thumbs up I'd take it as a sign. I love this.

The Universe gave Derek what he thought he wanted, a Casey free(mostly)college life only for him to realize that might not be(it never was)what he wants. Derek's obsession to get Casey to come to his game by saying the opposite was adorable, very middle school, like when you pinch the girl you like and she's supposed to get that it means you like her,lol, so very Derek. Hmm, I'm curious if Casey got that Derek wanted her to come to his game sooner than Derek realized. I know she told Derek her reason for telling Tammy she only knew Derek from school was so her and Derek could remain out of each other's world but is there more to it than that. Only you know for sure. I'm crossing my fingers Casey goes to all Derek's games, it's part of my college Dasey fantasy. This is Fantastic and I'm already more than a little addicted, can't wait for more.

What a wonderful Sunday morning surprise this turned out to be. I adore Derek's ongoing inner dialogue throughout the chapter, you captured his character from the show really well. He's right about all the signs in romantic comedies but only Derek (and all us Dasey shippers)would take Casey's thumbs up as his first sign. My guess for his second sign is Casey pranks him, I think he has a soft spot for those.

Fantastic writing. Love Derek expecting his life to be easy and perfect at college because he didn't have to spend time with Casey but instead finding out he actually missed her. The ruse he used to get Casey to come to his game was cute. I was surprised to find out she didn't tell anyone that her and Derek were step sibs, my shipper heart did a little flutter at that part. Loved it.
