Nice job with this! Keep it up!
MetalBatt chapter 14 . 6/22
Oh wow, finding out that the Light Elves aren't as kind as we thought they were was pretty crazy! And here I thought they were the embodiment of pacifism... Besides that, it's nice to see more interactions between Atreus and Sigyn :). They are really hitting it off right away! Definitely love at first sight, even if they have yet to admit it or even figure it out. Also, what was up with Atreus hearing Kratos? I don't really remember how the light of Alfheim works in the game, and since we were always in Kratos' POV, I never really thought on how it would affect Atreus' abilities. As for that ending, I feel like it's one of the Aesir that finally caught up to them. Most likely being Thrud since she's the only one actively trying to find Atreus. But yeah man, another great chapter! I'm excited to see what you have cooking up next :D!
Ilireanwri chapter 13 . 6/21
Hoo? Sigyn it is? the first Vanir who isn't Freya. I love this story.
I'm curious what allies Atreus will find beside the Elves? I would guess it's the Dwarves, Vanir, the Giants if some of them survived, maybe the Trolls and maybe even some Aesir who aren't complete assholes. Speaking of Aesir: what have you planned for Thrud? I think it would be funny to have her and Atreus become friends; it would be a good reminder for him to not to paint all Aesir with the same brush as there may be some decent ones among them, and for her that Asgard is not as just or good as Odin wants everyone to believe (not to mention Odin and Thor would have Kittens should this happen :)... I would love to see that)
MetalBatt chapter 13 . 6/13
Well, I'm all caught up now! And I have to say, this is one incredible story in the making :). It's honestly difficult to explain why I find this story amazing. But if I were to sort of summarize it, I would say that the reason I truly enjoy this story is due to how real it feels. Real in a sense of how I can see this happen in a canon novel. I wouldn't say game, since the mechanics of it are a bit too complex and repetitive to express into words. Novel, on the other hand, is the perfect way to express my view of this. As I'm sure you're aware, there is a novel that compiles the game's story into a cohesive book. I can see this as a sequel to that novel. The way you describe Atreus' journey and battles so far is very well done and easily encapsulates my full attention as if I were watching a riveting film! Most of the time, I even start looking at my page scroll to see how much more I have left to read, worried that if I'm already nearing the end of the chapter haha! That said, I think I should begin to give you some of my thoughts on the actual story so far.

First, the characters. I just love Brok and Sindri! You've managed to perfectly capture the Huldra brother's characters, especially Brok's vulgar personality! And I see you've gone with Freya's motherly personality as well, which is nice to see. Though, perhaps you might want to implement some of her wittiness whenever she's alone with Atreus, since that was one of her traits shown in the game. And speaking of Atreus, excellent job on him as well! If I were to guess, he was the most difficult character to work with. Having to build upon his already pre-existing personality, while risking the chance of changing his character indefinitely must not have been easy. Fortunately, you managed to make his character growth believable! While he's now much more mature and tactful, he still possesses his young curiosity, wittiness, and charm :). And I love how you decided to make his fighting style be the opposite of Kratos: staying in the shadows, be swift with the attacks, and if danger calls, be precise and quick. Just fucking amazing! And can I also say I appreciate you for taking the time to study more into Norse mythology! Already including several more of the Aesir Gods, including Sigyn?! Man, you sure know how to make this story more and more appealing with every chapter! I'm also going to assume he's met Angrboða. If I'm not mistaken, that moment where Atreus remembers his intimate moment with someone else had to be her. Sigyn is his "second" wife (though I'm going to speculate and say Sigyn is going to be his first and only wife in the canon game story), so he must've met up with Angrboða already. I'm also go out on a limb and say that Angrboða left those scratch marks on his back. Cuz, ya know ( ͡ ͜ʖ ͡)...

Anyways, as for the plot. Enticing from beginning to now! Atreus trying to live a life that would not only make his father and mother proud, but also changing his own destiny is incredibly engaging! He seems to have an end goal and a very rough plan on how to go at it, but the journey to accomplish it while gaining allies and growing his prowess is what makes this very fun to read :). The interactions between the Atreus and the cast of characters is fantastic, but those moments where he's alone and indulges in his self thoughts are truly my favorite parts of this fic. It shows that he's still a lonely kid in some ways, wishing for some guidance. But the more the story progresses, we see that he has to step up to his father's shoes and be the leader. His allies, as small as they currently might be, are beginning to rely on him. They see potential in him, and they want to help him reach his goal and become a man better than his father was. And he realizes that he has to do it as well, if he wishes to unify the realms under a peaceful alliance. Man, this story is just fucking awesome!

That's all I really have to say, though. Sorry if it's a bit too long, but it's something I like to do when I catch up to stories without putting full reviews on each chapter that are old. Again, fantastic job on this story! I hope you still manage to find the time to continue it more often. But then again, maybe this pace might actually help you? Perhaps by the time the sequel releases you won't be that far out of canon, and can even use some of the game's plot, characters, and world(realm) designs. Either way, I'm sure you'll still like manage to bring out quality with every chapter you write :D! Now, all I have left to say is: stay safe out there (things are getting crazy out here), make sure to wash your hands, if you can, stay at home, and good luck on your novel! Take care of yourself, Mr. Silas :D! See ya next update!
MetalBatt chapter 11 . 6/12
Good to see that you've finally included Aesir Gods :)! I know it's par for the course, but it's cool how you described their weapons having symbols engraved into them, as well as having tattoos on their bodies. It really manages to portray a good image of what they look like, and even a good idea on how the might be depicted in the game if they actually appear. Phenomenal job as always!
MetalBatt chapter 9 . 6/12
Atreus got lucky that he wasn't forced into a quick time event at the end of that boss battle!
MetalBatt chapter 1 . 6/11
Damn bro, I'd watch my ass if I were you. I heard you can get massive jail time for leaking games out on the internet :/...

Nah, but on some real shit. This introduction is absolutely incredible! Great grammar coupled with nice story telling gets me pretty excited to see what you have cooking up in these upcoming chapters!
Jinero chapter 13 . 6/4
Sigyn, the wife of Loki. Aside from this. This story is vastly underrated. It diserves much more reviews
Reconzilla117 chapter 13 . 6/3
Excellent work! Keep it up!

Review time!
*Atreus CONTINUES to be a badass:)
I'm VERY interested to see his battle with Thrud, she'll probably be a good "preview" to when he has to confront Thor.
And, if Thrud proves herself a TRUE (irredeemable) enemy...Atreus could end up with ANOTHER reason to be at the top of the Thunder God's hit-list.
*Sigyn? Huh...I actually wasn't expecting that:/
I actually thought that the "blonde maiden" was gonna be Angrboða, the mother of Jormungandr, Fenrir, and Hela is Norse Mythology.
But...Sigyn IS still Loki's wife, and things COULD be different in God of War (which ALWAYS takes liberties with the mythologies it uses).
*After Loki is done in Alfheim, I think he should go to Muspelheim next. Not only is Surtr one of the most powerful entities in Norse Mythology (I think he was the second being to come after Ymir:/), but he also has an army of Fire Giants AND Soul Eaters (that Andvari gave to him).
*Something I was wondering: do Fenrir and Hela currently exist in the "present", like their brother (Jormungandr) does? I remember Fenrir being named dropped in an earlier chapter, and heard say that Hela would HAVE to already exist in God of War because Helheim is named after her. I was just curious:/
*Keep up the good work:)

*Atreus is a badass!
The fight against the Einherjar was pretty cool.
*When I heard "Svartǫljánir", I thought that the boss from their FIRST trip through Alfheim was (somehow) still alive.
But...I guess it's a title, instead of a name?
*Before he heads back to the Dark Elves, I suspect that Atreus will encounter at least ONE of the "divine beings" from the previous chapter:/
*Keep up the good work:)
