Blackmail is definitely the lesser of two evils here. I cannot put into words how disgusted I am at the Hercule in this story. Or really anyone who knew that someones life was being given away as a prize and found it in any way acceptable. So yes Gohan blackmail Mr. Satan to prevent a horrible event from occurring and get to know the girl WITHOUT any legal bindings.

Interesting problem and no amount of power easily solves it for Gohan.

I really hope Gohan instills a level of fear in Satan that he doesn't force Videl to marry anyone
Maybe Gohan can then announce on the world championship stage that he will give Videl the choice and if she doesn't want to be married to him then he'll respect her wish
Would uplift his image immensely in the eyes of the world and Videl herself
Also I hope he tells her that he was unaware of the marriage thing and only entered for money to support his family

I'm thoroughly enjoying this story, even though I feel bad for Gohan. Mother doesn't always know best, it seems. The characters are true to their personalities (except for Hercule), and they're represented spot on. Looking forward to the next chapter :)

Well this was a fun chapter. I like the tree of life part. I think Hercule will try to back out giving Gohan the money and Videl's hand. Claiming Gohan used tricks to win. Because Hercule is worried that people will realize he lied and they where not tricks. People may start asking questions. But Videl will be curious about how Gohan did it. I am so.. looking forward to the next chapter. PLEASE update sooner.

I'm thinking blackmail would work great against Satan in this situation. LOL

Jesus Christ Gohan is dumb. Why would he bother with the fight? Just hit him out! Don’t play around! He’s not Ssj2, he shouldn’t be malicious! Also, why the hell would you feel bad about blackmail, that’s the least bad option, and there’s no reason for gohan to feel any sense of pity. Plus, considering how uncharacteristically sadistic he was in the fight, he really should’ve just told Hercule off and have been done with it.
