Reviews for Young Justice Outsiders rant
Eris chapter 12 . 11/15/2019
Fascinating comments. Very unusual and exciting. The monkey god was in episode 12. I hope the relationship between him and Garfield will be more explored in season 4.

Just a heads up that the following part of the Content Guidelines is broken:

Entries not allowed:
1. Non-stories: lists, bloopers, polls, previews, challenges, author notes, and etc.

You should move this story to a blog site or another site where it's allowed like deviantART or Archive Of Our Own.

Oh, I almost forget! The appearance of the Legion of Super-Heroes MIGHT also be loosely based another piece of canon; the storyline called "The Lightning Saga," which involved the return of Wally West at the end of that storyline (even though the Legion's real goal was actually trying to bring Bart Allen back). So perhaps in Season 4, the Legion MIGHT have a role in bringing Wally back for REAL!

Out of curiosity, once Season 4 eventually comes out, will the rant on that season be its own separate story or will it continue here?
Knightwing20042 chapter 12 . 8/28/2019
I'm surprised you didn't see the scene where Brion's advisor was talking to the Light and Vandal Savage explains that he (the advisor) used his limited psychic abilities to nudge Brion into doing what he did. Its at the end of the last episode. And if you noticed, the last episode is 26 minutes while the rest were to 22 to 23 minutes. And I feel like the Justice League rings shown at the end were nods to the Legion of Superheroes.
CG chapter 12 . 8/28/2019
Supermartian – The ship has been on an emotional roller coaster during the second half of the season. When M’Gann decided to give the ring back, I was going to scream, “GODDAMNIT, NO!” Luckily, I refrained from doing so when I heard how Conner admitted his own faults during the arguments between them and how he could not imagine living his life without her. After seeing the kiss and how M’Gann was happily feeding Conner in the dinner, I knew that love ultimately conquers all and that, somehow, they were both going to be okay. Hopefully, the wait for the wedding will be worth it.

Terra’s fate – As soon as the second half started, my one fear was that she was fated to die just like in the Judas Contract storyline. When I ultimately realized that she was going to live, my mind thought, “Greg Weisman must already know that a version of Terra died not too long ago in the DC Animated Movie Universe, and he’s probably doing this to avoid the redundancy.” The life-changing moment with her and Artemis reminded me of that life-changing moment between Xavier and Mystique in the “X-Men: Days of Future Past” film.

Deathstroke Got Owned – Is there such a thing as micro-expressions? When Lex called him out on Batman figuring it, I was tempted to say, “Of course he did; it’s because he’s Batman!” You get that HISHE reference?

The Kids Got Spared (for now) – I got to hand it to Greg Weisman for sparing the kids thus far; especially Artur and Lian. In the comics, the former was murdered by Black Manta and the latter was murdered by Prometheus. Maybe they’ll grow up to become heroes in the YJ universe.

Bad Boy Brion – Now we all know that sneaky metahuman ambassador is responsible for Brion’s turn; given the details of that man’s powers. If Miss Martian had been present, maybe she’d know that something was off with Brion right then and there. It seems they’ll apparently save that for Season 4, OR maybe Saturn Girl will be the one to expose the truth; considering she's a telepath too.

Continuity Error? – Superboy becomes publicly known at the end of Season 3, but I wonder if anyone remembered him from trying to save that bus in Season 1?

Infinity, Inc. – Trajectory was the only named hero in the trio, we do not know who the other two are. I remember in the comics that Trajectory died; I think her death was a cruel one.

Beast Boy – The one thing I’m bugged about was that there was no storyline that involved him either wanting justice or revenge on Queen Bee for his mother’s death; I hope that eventually gets addressed.

The Light – I read on the Young Justice wiki that the Starro-tech allowed the Light to see into the Justice League’s memories; specifically, from those members at the time. I’m surprised that they have not used that knowledge as a means of blackmail yet.

Wally NEEDS to come back for REAL somehow – I honestly did not like the way it was handled in the finale. It would’ve been nice if there had been a final post-credits scene in which he appears from out of nowhere in the middle of a road in his DC Rebirth attire and saying that he made it back somehow from wherever (or whenever) he came from; that would’ve been ten times better than the mini-Lobo we briefly got.

Vandal Savage and Darkseid – After all that, they’re still partners and only Granny got punished. Maybe they held Darkseid back for Season 4 because he’d likely do the most damage by then.

The Legion of Super-Heroes – I think that one or more people asked about the team on the “Ask Greg” website. I guess the last scene was Greg Weisman’s way of saying, “You asked, we’ll deliver.”
Guest chapter 12 . 8/28/2019
With the possible appearance of the Legion of Super-Heroes, I speculate their presence in the present is loosely based on three pieces of canon:

Legion Lost - Specifically the New 52 version in which some of the team's members are stuck in the present. In this particular case on the show, Saturn Girl appears to be one of them and she's probably been a waitress for some time.

The Final Night - A comic book storyline that deals with the heroes facing a global calamity; the Legion was involved in this event. Perhaps something similar to the storyline will happen in Season 4.

The Great Darkness Saga - The Legion fought Darkseid in this storyline; so perhaps in the show they'll fight him here too, but with the help of the present-day heroes.

PS. Considering they have not appeared until now, I wonder if the Legion was founded on the show because of Superboy revealing himself at long last to the public and his speech of being more than what he was created to be?

Tbh I'm holding onto the hope that they'll still bring Wally back. (Because of that test that zatanna and Megan pulled).

Not necessarily 100% feasible but feasible enough for me
TrinityTargaryen chapter 12 . 8/28/2019
I am sorry to say this but we still don't know if wally is dead. As zatanna said, it was all an illusion made by artemis with the help of m'gann and zatanna. That way artemis got her closure and maybe that meant the end of spitfire but that doesn't mean wally is definitively dead and will never come back.
Grays83718 chapter 12 . 8/28/2019
I'm relieved that Artemis and Will will remain friends because that kiss creep that shit out of me. I get the feeling she will find someone. I really hope that one day the creators of Young Justice do something good with Icicle Jr. and make him switch sides. I really want him to redeem himself
hnh058513 chapter 12 . 8/28/2019
the Lobo bady was a reference to the Original Young Justice Comics, were Lobo joined the team, also FLIGHT RING was shown at the end #Legion of Super Heroes
Guest chapter 11 . 8/27/2019
I hope that either Miss Martian or Saturn Girl will free Brion from that ambassador's control next season.
Guest chapter 11 . 8/27/2019
Hey Author,

If you intend to speculate about Season 4, I think you should wait a few days after you review the final three episodes so that the speculation can be its own separate chapter.
Guest chapter 11 . 8/27/2019
My Review (Not in any particular order):

1. We might not have gotten the SuperMartian wedding; but at the very least, we should all be grateful that it will still be happening at all.

2. I guess I should have expected that everyone (except Brion) knew that Tara was a mole right from the beginning. I'm glad that Tara did not die though, and now she'll work to become a true hero. I can't believe that she was being manipulated just to kill Beast Boy at the right moment, but I'm glad that did not happen.

3. On the other hand, Brion is an absolute jerk because of how he reacted to the revelations and now he is a puppet ruler of Markovia working for the Light. What's worse is that he brought Helga Jace back into the fold and Ambassador Baazovi (who is a psychic metahuman) has replaced Granny in the Light. The idea of Tara turning face and Brion turning heel was probably the writers' idea of creating a twist from canon.

4. Lex finally got booted out of his secretary position (Thank God!), but the Light is still alive and kicking. The threat of Darkseid is also not over.

5. I was honestly tempted to make a Skittles joke when Halo went into rainbow mode. It would've been like "Wield the rainbow, taste the rainbow"

6. Be grateful the thing between Will and Artemis was brief; it was too weird even for me. I cried when that whole Artemis and Wally thing happened.

7. Black Lightning becoming the leader of the Justice League was the best move ever made; he made an powerful and inspirational speech that hit all the points about what kind of people our heroes need to be going forward to Season 4 and possibly beyond. Also, he actually said the word crap!

8. THREE words: LEGION OF SUPER-HEROES! They're coming! They're here! Or at least one member is; who is likely Saturn Girl. The moment I saw the ring, I freaked out! Let's hope this leads to a spin-off series of their own! I also think that the dark future where Bart came from must have somehow changed for the better; otherwise this group would not be appearing now! We could be looking at the Legion teaming up with our heroes in Season 4!
