I liked that it was the wrapped around her finger remark that bothered Liz the most. That says a lot about the person she is and the respect she has for Mike.

Wow, while it is a very natural concern, I didn't think Liz would give the "frigid" remark a second thought. She does always come across so self assured but your explanation made sense and gave us more insight into Liz the woman. I like how you give us glimpses of her vulnerability.

When I finish catching up on your stories, I am going to have to check out the Hazzard book. I wonder if it is one of your favorites too? Very sweet that Mike is interested in what Liz ifs. Loved the book sharing comments.

Yeah, meeting the parents. Always a difficult thing but you set this so well to show how much MORE difficult this meeting was.

Nice of nice to see the shoe on the other foot. I remember how nervous Mike was when he met Liz's family, so it was interesting to see Liz in the same spot.

Fine line for Liz...trying not the "flaunt" her education and wealth...while at thew same time not coming across as apologetic or phony.

Nice character development for Nicky, whom I am thinking we may see more of in your future stories. Obviously, he is a great source of support for Liz and it is neat to see Mike's interactions with him.

That observation about Liz being exhausted from working with the suspect for fours and not giving anything away really struck a note with me. I would you hit it right on the head for all of those professionals in the criminal justice system. Got to be draining, remaining objective and not letting personal feelings rise to the surface when dealing with horrible crimes and their perpetrators.

Love the image of casual Mike here! I always loved the episode with Claire and the judge (I forget the name of it) and they’re doing surveillance in the park and Mike has on a very fetching sweater and jacket combo!

I am learning a lot about New York via the places you have Mike and Liz frequenting I looked up Contentment Island and Le Charlot. Very interesting. So much so that I more love if we get a little bit much description when they go to dinner (probably in the next chapter).
Fun that a wedding is on Liz's mind and that they are involved in the social parts of each other lives.

She is sooooooooo smitten! They both are but this time I thought you did Liz's state of smittenness (I know it's not a real word but I don't care) exceptionally well. She sounds so young and happy and hopeful, fun things to see in a woman you has to keep a professional distance so often. She's doesn't seem to have a care in the world when she can just focus on Mike.

You know this chapters very straightforward. Liz's reactions to the change in plans show how the relationship has deepened. She's acting like a cops wife :) Whether she realizes it or not. Not depressed, not resentful, just a little disappointed but sure if her place in Mike's life.
