ElvenMaia chapter 6 . 5/14 LOL that was very entertaining and very well written thank you much! |
Ann chapter 6 . 7/23/2019 Ahahhahahahhahahahaahha! |
Ann chapter 5 . 7/23/2019 yay! They made it! With help from the Valar too - those three sons of Feanor weren't Doomed either - they were stolen. If one of /them/ prayed with escape so close... But then, Manwe could have just been waiting for an opportunity like last time. |
Ann chapter 3 . 7/23/2019 OOOOOOOHHHH DID NOT SEE THAT COMING! The sons of Finwe are united in their time travel and (sort of) in future/past knowledge. Finwe will bargain for boats (yay!) But if that fails, they still of other boats. Likely not enough for just one or two trips, but still. That's fantastic! |
Ann chapter 2 . 7/23/2019 Shit. This might just be worse. Nearly half of Feanor's kids are dead this time around (at least they won't be kinslayers or punished as criminals in the Halls of Mandos) and the ruse worked. Worked for a certain definition of worked. Feanor is no doubt going to blame himself for this. Instead of his father dying protecting the silmarils, Feanor's kids get killed and abducted after refusing to hand over the gems they don't even have. Yikes. The whole city is going to be in an uproar. Finwe will be furious and/or grieved and I wonder how his being alive with help. |
Ann chapter 1 . 7/23/2019 Nice. Chapter starts off with both thinking their in a dream/vision/test and they just think any differences are because of their own changes in behavior/words. But then... *snort* Fingolfin slips twice (and maybe more!) and Feanor catches one and then both know they aren't alone. Yay! Let's see what this dynamic (dysfunctional) duo can achieve. Already they're shocking their family by how amiable they've been to each other. |
Guest chapter 6 . 3/22/2019 Can we have a sequel? Pleeeeease? |
Mzuark chapter 3 . 1/30/2019 Halfway through this story and I love it, the sons of Finwe were always my favorite part of the Silm so it's nice to see them working together. Also great job filling in the blanks of certain character's decisions. |
readergirl4985 chapter 6 . 1/23/2019 Oh, I loved this so much. But what of Aegnor and Andreth? This was fantastically done! |
Kelana-ti chapter 6 . 1/15/2019 LOL! Poor Fingolfin. D: I don't pity the elf, I really don't. But I can snicker at him. It's an awful problem, but real funny. |
Sophia the Scribe chapter 6 . 1/15/2019 Great bonus chapter! Fingolfin's love-wrangling meets the question of Gil-galad's parentage, haha. I wonder if Fingon ever got his explanation, though... VDMA, Sophia |
Beloved Daughter chapter 6 . 1/15/2019 Hahahahahshs! This is hilarious! I love that he would rather attack Morgoth with a knife than fake romantic notes but that he’s willing to do anything to get his family back. |
Kelana-ti chapter 4 . 1/12/2019 I love the brothers' dialouge. It's so full of snark, it's great fun. |
Guest chapter 1 . 1/10/2019 nice idea cant wait to read more |
Crimson Cupcake chapter 3 . 1/12/2019 Oh. My. Eru. Iluvatar. I had no idea how much I needed this fic until I read it! This is amazing! Absolutely spectacular idea AND execution! I love the three brothers cooperating. And Nerdanel. Honestly it's like they've been given a second chance to stop all that horror, and I am HERE for it. I love the detail about the Sindarin/Quenya naming as well, that's a stroke of genius. The character development has also been incredible, especially for Feanor. He's repentant and even willing to give up his Silmarils, which usually I would be shocked about, but he has a perfect motivation and he's still the same old hot-headed, arrogant, fiery genius that I love. Sons over jewels any day. I hope this story goes on for a million years because the fandom needs this fic, it really does. |
