GennyWrites57 chapter 1 . 1/4/2019 I really enjoyed this! Anytime authors provide me with more Miles and Mia interactions, it’s always a joy. I loved your interpretation of their characters, and it was nice to see the two of them in this scenario. Your writing never feels bogged down by too much description, which is wonderful. Great work! |
rustyfeed chapter 1 . 1/3/2019 I agree with the A/N. They missed their chance to further flesh out these characters and bring them into a better light. Few mistakes here and there, but the content is well-made. |
Inkblot0Blue chapter 1 . 1/3/2019 I very rarely see works focusing on Mia and Miles and this was very nicely written. It's one of those missing scenes from the game that always sounds great to write, but in principle can be rather difficult to capture, with regards to the essence of the moment and the relationship between the two characters and them themselves in that time period. But you have managed to capture it so well. Very good use of dialogue and description, too. Bit OOC at times with Miles being vulnerable, but that can be forgiven seeing as he was a very young man in this era, and he was, well, emotionally stunted. But yeah, otherwise, keep at it! |
SuitofMercy chapter 1 . 1/2/2019 If Takumi ever think of giving us an afterthought conversation between defense attorney and prosecutor, this better be it. I mean, it was just such a delight to read! The characterization between Miles and Mia was so spot on, especially with Mia's internal thoughts about herself and about Edgeworth...Ah, her call for justice was just so moving by the end and Miles's dimmed spark of humanity was a nice add for closure. (The only thing I noticed that was a plot mistake, I believe, was Maya's age when her mother disappeared...If I remembered correctly, I think she was two...I think...but whatever. This was an amazing read, regardless!) |
AnbarElectrum chapter 1 . 1/2/2019 This was beautiful. I’ve seen, now and again, works which show Maya and Edgeworth reflecting upon DL-6 and the effects it had on their lives, and I’ve always thought it was rather a shame there was nothing of the sort for Edgeworth and Mia. It’s always something that niggles in the back of my head when I play through 3-4, knowing how strongly connected these two are but also knowing that they’re never going to find out until it’s too late for either of them to really impact each other...ouch. Plus, as a fan of both characters, the idea that they only ever saw each other in a wholly antagonistic, two-dimensional way is quite a shame. So this is a good bit of...not closure, exactly, but something very like it. Some clearer idea of Mia’s emotional turmoil over the Fawles case and DL-6, some sight of the glimmer of compassion and humanity that Edgeworth can’t fully supress. You wrote them quite flawlessly in-character, especially considering how emotionally-charged their conversation was. It’s just a fantastic bit of interaction between two characters who had much more to say to each other than they ever got the chance to. Thanks for this! |
