This has definitely been one of the more lax and emotional chapters in this story, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. It's good to take a break from the action every once in a while. I especially liked Hanzo's interactions with Sam and the encouraging words he gave to her at the end. It really establishes how firm, but fair Hanzo is. It's also pretty concerning to see that Anya is also dying, now that Sub-Zero has been infected with Blood Magik. I guess when Sub-Zero is freed and learns of this, it's all the more reason to give Reiko the beatdown of the century. Can't wait to see what happens next, especially that the situation seems to be getting extremely dire now.

Ah, I see. My mistake; I tend to confuse the three since they seem pretty similar to one another, and I'm not just saying that because they live in the Great Plains region. Well, curious to see when and if that will eventually happen (maybe it may happen when you get to the main events of MKX possibly, assuming Hanzo doesn't kill Quan Chi immediately?). Anyway, as for this chapter, great chapter as usual! Things are definitely heating up and Bi Han is getting real close into turning into Noob Saibot. I do like Himavat's interactions with his great grandchildren and the unfortunate circumstances the Elder Gods have to take...which to be honest I understand, but it is still hard to really accept his explanation for their "laissez-faire attitude" towards events. Also like Sam's interactions with Hanzo.

I doubt that buluc will come and help out now. True, it is smart to look out for his own people, but Reiko and the possessed Kuai Liang will run roughshod over them without breaking a sweat.

The others are struggling to process what just happened, and time is not on their side. Olivia is in Reiko's grasps and they have no way on finding her even with Raiden detecting her life force. Things are certainly getting dire here. Love how you have crafted this story so far! Always a fan.

First up. I KNEW I COULDNT TRUST XINYI AAAAAAARGHHH!

Second of all, loved the Rain beat up. You have instilled in me a very special hatred for that character I swear xD

Thirdly — I think I might have said this before — but I *adore* the way you write Bi-Han. That constant fight, the sneering Noob, the conflicted Bi Han - I mean that is my absolute favourite. Love that dichotomy, love that constant tension when even I cant tell if Bi han would snap and Noob would take over or not. Really kept me on the edge of my seat!

Excellent chapter, but still mad that Rain is still alive. By the elder gods, can this man please die?! Please, all the other villains I believe have a hope of redemption, with the exception of Reiko. And frankly, I'm alright with him. Sure he's a bastard, but he's an ingesting and charismatic bastard, just like my favorite video game antagonist Albert Wesker. But Rain, can't stand him! Also I agree with what you said about Mileena. I really don't get why she had so many fans or stans, she barely contributes to the plot and the only personality she had was that of a whiny brat who thinks the world revolves around them.

So much action from everywhere. The Forces of Light are up to their heads in revenants, onis, and everything else you can think of. Everyone's individual battles and tag efforts surely had me on the edge of my seat. However, good call by Raiden to get everyone out of harm's way after realizing that bastard Kotal left them all to die. He needs to be dealt with severely in my opinion.

I wished I could see in the later chapters that Kuai would snap out of Reiko's control and beat the shit out of him for hurting his family for the second time. Daddy Kuai deserves a nice rest after all the shit he'd been through. I kinda figured out the traitor when Jiaiyi confronyed Xinyi when Olivia's gunna give back the cloak and I knew that the enemy Jiaiyi talking about is Reiko. Lmao I can see some chemistry between Jiayi and Olivia even though they haven't reacted around much with each other. Anyway, what an amazing chapter you have and I am looking forward for more :D

Hi, new stupid meat here, just wanted to say that this latest chapter was amazing to read! The choreography of the fights, the details as if I was watching a movie, the pain that Kung Jin and Raiden feel by having to fight the ones they care about, Bi Han trying to get his little brother back; it's all right on the same level as the other stories of yours I've read over the years as a nameless fan. You've done amazing work with Sub-Zero as your main character, and I can't wait to see the moment where he regains control and then gives Reiko a nasty case of frostbite!

(P.S.: Could you maybe give me some advice for writing a few characters? I recently started my own MK story, so I'm still a bit rusty)

As always, an excellent chapter. I especially liked the fights with the Revenants in this chapters. It's always sad to see fallen friends fight their former comrades, particularly between Raiden and Liu Kang. Here's hoping that they get purified and revived, but we'll wait and see if that even happens. If they aren't revived, I'm certain they'll start colluding with Shinnok, who hasn't been seen yet and I doubt he'll be in the shadows for much longer. Regardless of the antagonist, looking forward on whoever will threaten Earthrealm, whether they be tragic like Reiko or unrepentant like Onaga. I also enjoyed seeing Bi-Han show care to Sareena in this chapter. Their relationship in the games was definitely unexplored and I enjoy seeing it get more spotlight here.

I'm also interested on whatever happened to Malphas. Last we saw of him, his vessel, Rain, was killed and I'm wondering what he's been up to or even if he returns to antagonize Sub-Zero and his allies. Additionally, I'm wondering on if Shao Kahn is really dead from his assassination or if he just used a clone like last time and is just laying low for now. After all, for a guy who seems like a simple brute, he can be quite cunning.

Glad to read this next part. Can't wait for more soon.

Alright, guess that fair enough. Also, I recall from reading the MK Wiki that the Makota are essentially a part of the Lakota tribe, so yeah, guess you kind of predicted that...sort of. Anyway, outside of that, great chapter as usual. I do like the interactions between the father and son interaction with Sherman and his dad, Kung Jin and Kung Lao's interaction, especially considering the NRS games never really had that at all for some reason, and the interaction with Raiden and Liu Kang. I am curious to see whether they will actually get revived or not.

I don't know why, he didn't really do anything to wrong, but Jiayi was being so hyped as he traitor my mind kind of thought you were trying to psyche us out.
