Guest chapter 1 . 12/24/2018 What a lovely Christmas story. Thank you |
kymby67 chapter 1 . 12/24/2018 Amazing Lady C. I love how pleased Lady Gervis is with her efforts. Hugh's comment, I say, Anthony Strallan's taking liberties with a woman out on our terrace, was priceless. Most wonderful though was Edith's thoughts has she wrapped herself in Anthony's jacket. Of how he smelled of ink, old books, pipe tobacco, peppermints, and home. I have no doubt that Anthony would smell of ink and old books and most of all, for Edith, home! Such a beautiful portrayal of how smells can transport us back to the wonderful times in our lives! Merry Christmas! |
Baron Munchausen chapter 1 . 12/23/2018 And, after that painful, awkward, honest conversation, they all lived happily ever after! What a wonderful Christmas gift, and how clever of Lady Gervas. Happy Christmas to you too Lady C.! |
Guest chapter 1 . 12/23/2018 The best Christmas present is Anthony's presence! And Marigold's, of course. |
weeredfrenchie chapter 1 . 12/23/2018 Absolutely perfect. Merry Christmas Lady C! |

PaleMagnolia chapter 1 . 12/23/2018 When I read something that is *really* well-written, I sometimes get a bit jealous. Right now I'm DYING of jealousy. How I wish I could write something that was half as vivid, and moving, and funny and witty and heartwarming as this story! It's delightful, simply delightful. "He tucks his good arm behind his back, a soldier giving a report, and flushes" - this single sentence is so poignant, so intense! But I also loved how smoothly the funny parts fitted in the story. “I say… Anthony Strallan's taking liberties with a woman out on our terrace” - I cracked up! Thank you for the wonderful Christmas present that is this story! |
Guest chapter 1 . 12/23/2018 Sweet! Wonderful and Sweet! Hope they remembered to send Claudia Gervas a lovely Thank You gift! Thank YOU and Merry Christmas. |
