It's a good read even without the fulfilled promise of a continuation. I like your amalgamation :)
And Steve and Diana make a lot of sense (more than some other pairings certainly, and more than other fates).

You mention Clark, what on earth could have kept Superman from helping during the invasion though? Batman is understandable, depending on where Gotham is located. I suppose Arthur could have been anywhere in the ocean and heard too late? That leaves Barry who could have run there pretty fast too. Will you explain their absences? Enjoying this so far

,actually a very sweet tale. Too often Steve's man out of time facet is either ignored or played as a gag. That even Tony is helping is a good thing.

really intersting fic, only I think that you sohouldnt fully merge it with dc, leave it to as few characters as you can (thats my advice, you are the writer you know better than me if is a good one)
