TaxLady, I just have to say: Almost all your comments say exactly what I'm thinking
Right now I don't think I like any of the other characters in this story. Fine, I haven't seen much of her friends, but her father wanted her to suffer so much, she wished she wasn't even born, right? And following this order Hidou shatters her mask. So, I guess, her friends knowing she still lives will make her suffer.
And why would her father want her to die? Yes, I think, he is the one who talked to Hidou, a jerk like that would want to watch this happening - and he is there!
Argh, I'm just so angry with all of them! Kagome, when you've broken this curse (and that's a when, not an if - and I know, you are able to do it on your own, you don't need any of those *BLEEP*!) you should probably leave them behind and find people who actually appreciate you! I mean, people like Taro are not your allies! He may have helped you a bit and he may say, you're like a daughter to him, but his actions tell otherwise.
Ok, I think I'll end this rant now. I love this story (though I ranted a lot) and I can't wait for the next chapter.

WTF is wrong with her father? Souta is his pride and joy and Kagome is useless? And Rin, after all those years with Sesshomaru, you know better than to distract someone who is fighting. Sesshomaru, either really help or get the hell out of the way. Katsumi gets Kagome in trouble with her idiot order and Taro punishes the wrong person by shipping Kagome off to the West. Demeaning her in the process and deliberately setting her up to be discovered against her wishes. I expect her old companions will start bitching and moaning now about how "betrayed" they feel. Is anyone in this story worthy of her spending any concern on them?
