I really like the idea. Not that I'm against all things Gryffindor, but it's intiguing - why would the Hat stop sorting kids into Gryffindor? I have several theories (see, you woke my Potter plot bunnies, I have no time for them now, I'm busy with other fandoms, damn it!), but I personally think that it decided that "Gryffindor" began to mean something very far from the ideals of the Hogwarts founder, so maybe they had to brought low and reminded that the Lions are not supposed to be arrogant golden children of the wizarding Britain, but brave, strong and willing to make a hard choice when it's the right one. This way just seems overly cruel to the kids, especially Michael... The whole "goal justifies the means" philosophy is exactly the kind of "Gryffindor" thinking that the Hat would want gone...

It feels incomplete though. I know, that's the whole point, being able to imagine our own ending, but I'd like to see reactions of more people, not just the Gryffindors, and there should be some spark of hope at the end. Well, the alphabet doesn't end at "W", so maybe there's a tiny little Lion called "Yang" or something? Or maybe the next year everything will go back to normal and there will be nine Gryffindor firsties?

Oh, and I don't envy the Mini-Weasley who got into Slytherin. Ron certainly won't approve... ;)

I had read fics about Slyth's decadence, aceppting only pure blood... but you, again had managed yourself to amaze me... congratulations, girl, and you must explain me... why is Gryff that bad? Had Voldemort won the war? Or it's simply that all the bravery has death? Hum I assume not the first ... oh, I need more explanation! So, you chose: you explain me or you continue the story...(hey, the second could be avaliable, but really I don't know how... one second, the sorting hadn't finnished yet, why not a little Gryff girl? the most unexpeted,hum... a Zabinni? well, it's only a suggestion, and anyway I like the story just like it is... all that depressing...)

Oh my god this was so very sad. I am not a fan of Gryffindor but damn to be in such a situation would be horrible and so lonely.

Wow. . .OK, I know you promised this would be a one-shot, so I won't ask for a sequel, but this is still a really interesting idea. Why is Gryffindor dying out now that Harry's gone?

Finish Runaway Dragon, but please continue with this fic! It is too intriguing not to go with it. I didn't quite get it until the end, but the image of a Gryffindor table with just one person is too disturbing not to continue with. Sequel!

Wow! You are probably my favourite fanfic writer! I absolutely love runaway dragon! Sorry I've never reviewed it but I will! This is amazing. It's so sad! I don't like the Gryffindors much but this made me think that I really wouldn't like it if the house ceased to be. It is an amazing piece of writing and I think you are very talented. Oh and I praise you on your grasp of english, which is probably better than mine and I am english! I could not believe it when I first found out english was not your first language!
