I don't think I have ever read a better KUA story than this one! Not only have you done an absolutely superb job capturing Liz's personality and character, but you have woven in a spectacular thread of faith. Seriously, a defense of Christianity, great reasons to be pro-life (I applaud you for doing this; not many people have the guts to do so), and having Liz and William rely on Christ no matter what? Grand slam!

Another thing I love is how you had Liz stand up to Hyacinth and finally put her in her place. The echoes back to the episode "Sea Fever" are priceless. And I am so glad I'm not the only one who picked up on the fact that Hyacinth is emotionally abusive. You did an incredible job pointing it out, through the third-person narrative and through William's observations. And also, the mention of Rose and Emmet: are you planning on writing a sequel about them? I'd love to see Rose finally coming to Christ and having a happy ending with Emmet! You'd do a beautiful job!
