I adore this story! This was such a great exploration of the pain of unrequited love. I loved the final exchange between Sasuke and Sakura and the final three lines were so beautiful and poetic!

This story is the best interpretation of the hanahaki prompt I've read. The imagery you use to show how the disease affects Sakura builds up the story so well and I really like how you use the disease as a vehicle to show just how selfless Sakura's love is. Sasuke and Sakura were so in character and I really enjoyed how you portrayed Sasuke's guilt. This was a really great story! Thanks!

What a wonderful way to bring a Hanahaki disease story to depict their life. Sakura's undying love for Sasuke and determination to keep her pain to herself really fits with her character.

Honestly, I didn't know which way you were going to go with the story...tragedy or triumph, but I'm so glad you chose the happy ending. Sasuke certainly did cause her all that pain, just like the manga, but the impossible did happen and they both got their happily ever after.

hm, is it bad for me to want this to end in tragedy? Because you know, I want Sasuke to feel really, really bad about Sakura dying or feel empty 'cause she forgot about him. Don't get me wrong, I love Sasuke dearly, he's my first love and all, I just want him to suffer. Anyway, good fic author~ I love the angst and the idea. I mean, imagine if a person cough out a petal in reality or a flower with thorns, ohw ghad, that would be something.

Oh wow this is good. I love Hanahaki Disease aus. When Sakura cut off and coughed up the flowers at the end I totally thought it hadn't worked and she was still going to die.
