Purpuhl chapter 25 . 5/12 I am like, very mad at Te'ijal and Galahad for not being more honest with their child and for not being more careful how they talk to each other in front of him, but I guess they have more than paid for it now, and at least Gyendal was there and willing to explain everything and reassure his nephew. It's a little weird because I'm still mad at him for his poor communication skills in HoD but he's being very reasonable in this story, so I'm a little split, haha. It was a sweet little break from the rest of the story when he made Cer'iq laugh. And it was sweet but sad when Cer'iq picked trinkets to take with him to remember his parents. And lastly, the ending with the Oracle's greeting was somehow very fitting. Like the story, Cer'iq's story, is finally really beginning. |
Purpuhl chapter 24 . 5/11 This was intense! I appreciated Galahad trying to help everybody, and the reference to how Te'ijal and Galahad were married in Thais. I somehow never thought of that before, like I knew it, of course, but it didn't hit me quite like that until I read it here and it really added to the impact. The bits with Stella and Edward were so bittersweet, ESPECIALLY knowing what happens afterward. I loved how active they all were, you didn't make any of them (besides the children but it makes sense for the children) just left to go along with everyone else, and it was lovely to read. The descriptions of the battle and making their way through the city, and then the untouched noble district, were just SO effective. I felt so bad for everyone when Lydia and Caius took their revenge. And it's just SO fitting for Mel to have had the sense to hide instead of walking in on the scene and trying to confront them, and I cannot WAIT to see what she and Stella (and of course the others) do next |
Purpuhl chapter 23 . 3/19 First things first, Cer'iq making his jam and bread lunch and remembering trying jam on VEGETABLES had me laughing. And the rest. Was so sad. Cer'iq having to listen to his parents argue was ouch, I felt for him when he ran away. And then the comments about the "senile old woman" made me laugh. And Mel reminding Te'ijal about her promise to Rhen was heartwarming. And Cer'iq not hugging Galahad was heartbreaking. Ouchy. |
Purpuhl chapter 22 . 3/19 I AM VERY AFRAID NOW, DOVE WHAT ARE YOU SETTING UP?! |
Purpuhl chapter 21 . 3/19 Awwwwwww! Stella and Edward fluff always melts me. This was such a relaxing chapter to read, and I liked the insight into both Edward and Stella's experiences leading up to these decisions |
Purpuhl chapter 20 . 1/20 Interesting turns! My fave line is definitely "it's been a long time since I've beaten you at something" because you KNOW Te'ijal is gonna win the race too XD Cmon Gyendal, she's just too good |
Purpuhl chapter 17 . 4/19/2019 Cer'iq is always so cute, I love him |
Purpuhl chapter 16 . 3/10/2019 Starting with Cer'iq's pov and the innoncent question about what marriage is for was an excellent choice, it was so heartwarming and simultaneously funny, esp that question about if Mel would bite her husband, hahaha! I also loved Galahad's own contemplation, and of course the reference to Rhen and Dameon living happily together in the hereafter! I reread that part like five hundred times, haha. And Galahad gradually realizing the identity of the groom only for Te'ijal to be like "duh, this is signature Ravenfoot" was SO funny! And then the end with him and Mel being happy to be related was so sweet and cute and also funny, I loved it |
Purpuhl chapter 14 . 1/11/2019 "She bit me... again. " XD XD I am laughing so hard oh my gosh. All of this was so cute and charming and funny, and also the end all laughing at the idea of Mel with Lars Tenebor VII was great |
Purpuhl chapter 13 . 12/20/2018 This started as a cute first-time parents chapter and then! Fangs! I'm worried for all of them but also excited |
Purpuhl chapter 12 . 12/11/2018 You reminded me while reading this that in the Aveyond universe vampirism happens through blood exchange, which is definitely something that happens between a mother and a baby before birth; it was really clever to subtly bring that up again! Also alw;egjaweg this was so cute and precious and I loved the naming, thank you |
Purpuhl chapter 11 . 12/10/2018 Yes if you were wondering the tiny tiny mention of RhenxDameon at the beginning killed me, I'm still all spazzy and emotional. Them taking a minute to pick up on the Oracle's hint made me laugh, and Galahad being excited about having a son was SO SWEET, and Te'ijal's teasing made me laugh XD I also liked that bits of this were from the Oracle's pov! That's always fun |
Queen-of-Ice101 chapter 10 . 12/9/2018 THIS WAS SO CUTE! I love the dress scene, how gentle they were with each other and the little baby kick! Bringing Yvette and June back was so awesome, and I really liked how Lydia ended up taking a backseat mention so that the chapter could focus on Stella and Edward getting married. The comparison between EdwardxStella and RhenxDameon was so freaking adorable and the perfect way to bring it full circle! I can't help but wonder now, what happens to Gyendal? Where did he go after leaving the cathedral? will he be back for any of them or to visit Te'ijal? |
Queen-of-Ice101 chapter 9 . 12/9/2018 Aww the hug was so cute! I can't wait to see the Lydia showdown~ |
Queen-of-Ice101 chapter 8 . 12/9/2018 Ahhh I love the whole Galahad and Mel friendship thing, even though they're both tainted by the realm the way you highlighted that they still care was awesome! And Mel relaying what Te'ijal did for her XD |
