Andr Le Ntre chapter 10 . 8/28 Exellent polar! I really liked the development of the story, the mechanisms, the nice style and the akin description! You really do have the potential for writing real books that can be in the level of Holmes and Poirot! I'm definitely gonna look forward for more stories and even reading books in that impressive level! Thank you so much for the hard work! |
Lance Harris chapter 10 . 1/20 I wonder what Shizuka did after this, if she ever noticed what happened between Hikigaya and Yukinoshita, and if she ever suspected that Hachiman would go this far for the truth, at the cost of the people he had grown to care about, how she would feel at this? |
The Richmaster chapter 10 . 12/28/2019 Thinking about it more, this feels like a way of showing the kind of madness that I could see the service club falling to if they were pushed to far; it lines up with certain traits of theirs scarily well |
The Richmaster chapter 10 . 12/28/2019 Well... damn, that is so much more impactful than I had really expected to be; so many emotions just boiling and breaking. It's honestly a struggle to think of what could happen to these people after everything that went down here You did an amazing job with this, I'm really stunned for a better way to word how I feel |

Thor x Kamisato fan chapter 8 . 3/9/2019 This has to be one of the fav story i have ever read in a long time. God damn it. Need more authors like you. You put a lot of thought into it. I liked how that scene where yumiko said she saw hachiman as hayama played a major role I can't believe it was yui. So sad tbh. But whatever, it was done right. As for hayama I never really hated the guy like most people in this fandom. He just felt human. What he does in the series is likely what most of us would do in his position lol P.S. i mistakenly sent my first review by mistake |
Thor x Kamisato fan chapter 10 . 3/9/2019 I am not a hachiman or yukino fan but damn, you are really cruel. The way hachiman just tricked her into thinking he liked got to me |
CMY187 chapter 10 . 3/9/2019 (Part 2 of my review of Chapter 10) "I don't care, Yukinoshita" Someone who has nothing to lose is dangerous. Hachiman doesn't CARE if everyone in Sobu High hates him. "you'd told Yuigahama" Yui wanted to romance Hachiman, but loves Yukino dearly as well. In the season 2 finale of the anime, She told them both that she is selfish and wants to have it all; both their love. She does not want to have to sacrifice one for the other. Honestly, I wouldn't mind or protest if Watari ends up writing that all three of them enter into a romantic relationship with each other. "you looked more at home around her than with anyone else" People other than Hachiman may have noticed it as well. "any other student with an ounce of f-king common sense" Anyone with eyes could see that Hayato does not reciprocate Yumiko's feelings but is making no attempt to cure her of her obsession with him. "when there's so much that could already go wrong" A social gathering where Yumiko's birthday is being celebrated, and Hachiman and Yukino - two people who are infamous for refusing to conform to social expectations - are attending along with Kawasaki, who is flat-out hostile towards Yumiko and is only attending due to Ebina's invitaton. "You didn't know that, did you?" If Yukino didn't despise Yumiko before, she definitely is going to despise her now. Inviting someone to a social event so you can humiliate them...this is something often done by bullies in movies and TV shows. Noticeably, after the events of the party, Yui had become even more distant from Yumiko. "Nothing malicious, of course. Just a little f-king joke" I'm sure Yumiko sees it that way. She doesn't strike me as a bully, just, well, a teenager. "who ends up taking that drink" That goddamn drink, that Yumiko spiked and Yui and Ebina neglect to clear away. It led to everything that happened afterward. Had Yumiko not made the decision to attempt to humiliate Yukino, had she simply not invited Yukino at all, NONE of this would have happened. One small thing led to so many others...I love this story. "I was so obsessed with who was lying that it never once occurred to me that these people just didn't know" I love this line. "tell Hayama what she's been thinking for a long time" And Hayato brushed her off. Lied to her face, through his teeth. He destroyed his relationship with Yukino in middle school, and he destroyed his friendship with Yui at the party. He sacrificed his close relationships for his superficial ones. And Hachiman sacrificed everything for just one thing. "when his parents force his life to change" I wonder how the Hayama family is faring after their son's apparent suicide. "I don't care about what she was feeling. I care about what she did" ...yeah. Hachiman is really not likable in this scene, and I am glad that you do not try to make him so. Heck, he knows what he is being like here, and he doesn't care. "her stupid dream of a romantic comedy" Yeah, Hachiman has little to no respect for Yumiko. Heck, not even now, after Hayato's death. Yumiko's delusions of a future with Hayato were destroyed, and she coped with it by creating new ones. If she starts becoming obsessed with Hachiman...well...here's hoping Hachiman won't do the same thing Hayato did. I'd say he wouldn't. Unfortunately, he has already lied to and manipulated her for information. "I honestly don't think I've ever met a person more transparent than Miura Yumiko" Ouch. He was mostly indifferent to Yumiko before, but now he's flat-out revealing just how little respect he has for her. "You all got hit with a bit of reality" I have a bad feeling that Yumiko may refuse to accept anyone other than Yukino being Hayato's murderer. She may go crazy if Hachiman tries to persuade her that it was Yui. Considering that this is Hachiman, though, I get the feeling that he wouldn't even CARE if Yumiko believes him or not. Knowing him, he'd sneer and tell her to believe what she wants. After all, he never cared for Yumiko before, unlike Yukino, Yui, Kawasaki and Iroha. "Yuigahama can see it" In my opinion, Yui is just as perceptive as Hachiman and Yukino. She's just much, much better at hiding it. "she picked it up" When the bottle landed for Hayato and Yukino, it infuriated Yumiko AND Yukino, and the very, very drunk Kawasaki joined in loudly chanting for Hayato and Yukino to kiss. "it was so dark in the back garden" The Miura household. The front porch is lit like a Christmas tree, but the back garden/yard is neglected. I think that says something about the family. "as if in pain" The only way for him to deal with the agony is to face it head-on. Honestly, anybody who presents Hachiman with a mystery is essentially torturing him. "I looked exactly like Hayama" I'm seriously worried about Yumiko. She's got serious problems. What she felt towards Hayato was anything but a mere crush; she was downright obsessed with him. Sagami fancied Hayato, and Iroha had a crush on Hayato as well that faded as she grew to love Hachiman. But Yumiko? Man...if she starts latching onto Hachiman...see, THIS is how I can see Yumiko developing feelings for Hachiman. THIS is the most realistic depiction of a Yumiko/Hachiman I have ever seen, and it is anything but healthy. There is no genuine affection or love on either side. This is going to be ugly. The consequences of Hachiman's AND Yumiko's actions will follow them for a long time. And sadly, I can't bring myself to feel sorry for Yumiko considering that she gives no thought to other people who are suffering as well such as Kawasaki. "You're still not going to say it? What happened?" Yukino will not rat out her best (and now only) friend. "I can only guess" By deductive reasoning and logic, Hachiman deduces that the murderer must be Yui. However, motive is EVERYTHING. And unless Yui confesses, I don't think Hachiman would ever know the full details and reasons for her killing Hayato. Does he even care? He already knows what HAPPENED, after all. "She's still holding the piece of glass, and can barely stand" A very drunk person holding a sharp object? I can understand and perceive Hayato hurrying to get it away from her. "Wouldn't it be so much easier" ...Hachiman now knows that he is the target of Yukino's hate. He has hurt and betrayed her, and Yui hates people who do that to Yukino... "she takes Kawasaki back" Kawasaki fears that if she tells anyone what happened, she would be accused and punished instead of or alongside Yui. And she has younger siblings to look after. It makes sense that she'd keep quiet about it. Unfortunately, maintaining her silence has taken its toll on her sanity. "neither of her friends might hurt so much" Wrong. Hachiman ends up hurting everyone, and Yui calls him cruel. "You saw it all" Yukino is a witness, but yeah...she is never, ever going to testify against Yui. The ONLY THING that can put Yui in prison and/or out her to the public as a murderer is if she confesses. There is no evidence, and the only two direct witnesses - Yukino and Kawasaki - aren't going to come forward. Which means that as long as Yui keeps her mouth shut, she will essentially get away with what she did. And Yui isn't stupid; she knows this too. "the only time they've ever looked more lifeless" There is no happy ending for this story. Hachiman knew that when he began his investigation, and so did Komachi. Heck, this story's ending may even be far off; I can easily see Broken Glass getting a sequel! The consequences of Hayato's death AND Hachiman's invesigation may spread far and wide. "the only thing I can pro-" This is when Yukino finally snapped; when Hachiman shares with her what there is that he can use to prove Yui's guilt. "They aren't angry. Still not angry. Just lifeless" This. This is hate. There will never be a chance, ever, of Hachiman and Yukino becoming friends again, let alone lovers. Hachiman's actions have destroyed any chance he has of a future with Yukino, either platonic or romantic. And he KNEW IT, AND DID IT ANYWAY. "why are you here if you can't prove" That's a good question. "It was better when the truth was a lie" In one of the Matt Scudder novels, Scudder learns the horrific truth of a young woman's disappearance; tortured and then murdered by her sadistic lover. He tells the woman's parents that she was killed in a boating trip with friends by pirates, by being shot quickly to death. "he does leave. After awhile" He loved and cherished what he had in the Service Club, but in the end, he made his decision. He chose the truth over it. And now he'll have to live with that decision for the rest of his life. "She requested that we assist her in baking cookies for a boy who had captured her affections" This story is tragic. And what's worse, I find it to be entirely believeable that something like it could happen and that Hachiman could make the decisions he made. "There are many things that I asked Yuigahama Yui" Honestly, to answer BlackPsych's review, I DON'T think Yui or Yukino would kill themselves at the end of this. They at least still have each other, and are now united in their hatred of Hachiman, and Hachiman still has Komachi, not to mention that his relationships with Zaimokuza, Iroha and Totsuka may still be intact and he may still be able to make amends with Kawasaki. "We deserve each other" This line is heart-breaking. "We are idiots" Yukino feels horrible because a big part of Yui's motivation to kill Hayato was her. "I don't want the truth. I want the could've" And Hachiman wants to take that away from her. What is most important to her. "I don't know anything about the Service Club" Yui killed Hayato and made it look like a suicide, and convinced Kawasaki to keep quiet about it. Hachiman revealed dramatically to her that he will exploit and manipulate her feelings and emotions like a goddamn psychopath to get what he wants. I really like that this chapter is written from Yukino's perspective. It makes Hachiman's actions so much more terrifying and monstrous when viewed through her eyes. |
Guest chapter 10 . 3/8/2019 Oh wow i cant believe my guess of Yui was right |
