Another great chapter! Was that Silent Hill at the end with those nurses? If so... very exciting. And poor Mii Swordfighter... wonder how long until we see the other Miis? Oh and Kabal, Death, Smithy are very dead. That Min Min line is pretty funny. And we're seeing Chrom! And Giegue!

Now that I'm finally caught up with the story, I can review what I just read properly.

The Dark Realm arc is, in my opinion, better than the Light Realm arc. One of the things that excites me are all the battles fought in Dharkon's realm-not against the Smashers, but the "boss" encounters. Case in point? Galeem was initially defeated in about one and a half chapters. These enemies? Either took TWICE the time to defeat, like Artorias and EXCELSUS, or still ongoing, like Death and Smithy.

And the fact that as of Chapter 40, only a third of the Apollo Sanctum pieces have been found, makes me even more excited-after all, that just means we'll be getting more complex fights from here on out, and that's even before everyone faces Dharkon! If this is the new standard for how these battles will play out, I can't wait to see what you do with Dharkon-and even the final part of the story!

I also like the little shout outs you gave in the arc. I knew about the Thanos reference you gave Demise from TV Tropes, but not Snake's little shout-out to Bayonetta. Nice to see that my favorite member of Passione get a little nod, eh?

Now, the only complaint that I have with this chapter is that we didn't get to see action in Frantic Factory and Dracula's Castle-but given how I praised the multi-level fights before, it's but a minor complaint. I'm just excited to see what things are in store moving forward. I can't wait to see what comes next.

P.S. Now that Mewtwo's in the story, I'm sure those rabid fanboys of his can finally stop! I read those Author's Notes. Hopefully Mewtwo finally joining the team finally relieved you of all the questions of "MEWTWO WHEN?!"

Oh dear, Matthew...

The Mewtwo and Princess Shroob fights were intense, I loved the touch with Aerith's Spirit talking to Cloud.

also, "It's-a Bowser, he's survived far worse, this-a fall is basically nothing to him." LOL SO TRUE.

Fantastic chapter! The Princess Shroob battles, the Mewtwo fight, the suspense concerning Matthew's situation, all great. A question: what do you think about the announcement of a ARMS character coming to the game? We don't know who it is yet, so the speculation is fun.
Also, yeah the plagiarism thing, that happened. I don't really remember it, and if I'm being honest I barely noticed this wasn't updated since January 2020, but that's because this year's been a mess.
Also, just a odd question, but have you ever considered doing things other than fanfiction? Like creating your own original stories with original characters, settings, etc. It's a thing I do alot, to the point that I don't really do fanfiction ideas anymore.

You made an excellent references to Partners in Time and Bowser's Inside Story! It's nice to see both the Shroob Princess and the Elder Princess Shroob's defeat. It's such a hard boss to beat especially the North American version of Partners in Time.

I love that you showcase everyone's unique way of getting down the platform such as Mario's Wing Cap, Jigglypuff simply floating down, Lucario using Extreme Speed and Arusu using Woosh to create a stairway of tornadoes for the others to come down. Genius!

Since I could never beat Elder Princess Shroob I enjoyed seeing her go down here. Curious to see what group 4 will be up against next since they just wrapped up an original dungeon. Hopefully Marth and Jigglypuff get cured soon. The thing with Dharkon and Matthew is definitely going to be interesting since Matthew seems unaware of his new mole status.
