When I watched the movie with my mom and grandma, my mom said at the end, "I wonder, you think the Grinch and the mom might...you know?" And she gave that playful nudge. I wasn't exactly sure but this is looking cute already! Plus kind of wanted to see more of the Grinch with the Lou-Who family.
Only mistake I see here is "bayed him goodnight." I think you mean "bade," past tense of "bid." Because "to bay" means to should loudly/demand something, and I don't think that's what you're implying here.
