Guest chapter 49 . 9/2 Amei amei amei! Amo esse shipp |
Draceline chapter 49 . 8/20 I think this is the fourth or fifth time I've read this story now (between here and Ao3), and I still love it! It's relatively short and simple compared to your other two Granger/Grindelwald fics, but I'm more than happy to spend the 8 or so hours it takes for me to read simply immersing myself in it. And only during this read through did I truly understand the title. When one starts reading this story, they think, "okay, so is Gellert the Pretender?" But as you read more, one gets that the title alludes more to Gellert's opinion of "The Dark Lord." Essentially that Tom is dangerous, but in such a manner as that of a child running around with a flamethrower determined to get out of homework by torching his school: ambitious, but not exactly knowing what he's doing. But then you went even deeper with the person pretending to be Grindelwald (Ron?), and Marinette (clever name by the way, with her using her "thralls" as puppets). I am still curious about her ultimate motivation though. Yes, dark wizards are bad. We get it. But what she did must have had a cause. I would guess something to do with Gellert's first... ehm... life? An interesting touch with the "dark wizard" being why they can't have children. It was subtle, but makes sense. Strange side effects and all. Too often Hermione-stories use her injuries from the war as the cause, almost as if it was her fault. Yes, it's sad for these two people who love each other, but sometimes, such is life. The only major criticism I have (other than the fact that I didn't want it to end, haha), is that many of the chapters seem to just cut themselves off, almost like a thought that wasn't quite finished. Any other criticism I would have involves more minor things that truthfully need no fixing, but if you're ever interested in writing a "revamped" version (not to replace this one, but as a separate, shall we say, directors cut), I'd be happy to give you my thoughts. Sadly, I've always had trouble writing my own stories, but I'm quite good at refinements. Honestly, I think this is a brilliant match of characters, and I wish it wasn't such a rare one. I've been reading all of your Hermione/Gellert stories, and I love each one. Please keep writing! I eagerly await each notification I get which says that you've updated. 3 |
LydiaLovegood chapter 49 . 8/7 I just read this so I’m not sure you’ll get this review or not. It’s a bit late. Lol. This was very good, lots of plot and little off shoots. Very well written. I am curious as to why she couldn’t have a child with Gellert? |

TinkerVine le Fey chapter 23 . 6/14/2019 I admire the way you showed the contrast between Hermione's moral code and Gellert's without degrading or taking the humanity away from either of the characters. |
