This was an absolutely amazing slice of life story! I loved every moment of it. I love teh way you write both Carol and Daryl both the way they tell their parts of the story and the way you are able to capture their actions and personality to the point that it feels very true to the show.
I liked the little conflicts, etc that you included into the story, and I feel like it definitely has a very satisfying ending as well.

And I love the thought of Mom!Carol :D

This ending was good it's even horrible! I'm sorry! Sometimes criticism can be taken to heart but I honestly have to get it out of my chest and say that this ending was very unexpected! In the end idiot men win? It is? I thought that at least in fantasy I would be free to see it! It was water with sugar! And Henry was just a reckless teenager bringing big problems home so parents fuck and take care of her problem ! And Julie asked John back? He accepted? Is that awful how he can accept her? Did she just get tired of fucking the other guy and asked him to come back? I do not know what's worse, the result of the election, the solution to Jessica's bastard son or this John return! I loved reading your story! But that ending left me a bitter taste! Anyway congratulations on your writing!

I'm sorry that Carol lost her re-election as mayor of Hilltop to Roderick, but I have the feeling you're setting up a sequel where Roderick's naivety will come into play. At least Carol will have more time with Daryl and her family until then.

I loved Henry's character development through the course of this story. He was heartbroken to discover he wasn't the father of Jessica's baby, but he said he'd raise it when she and the actual father refused the responsibility. I think Henry was justified in hitting that other guy, and it sounds like he finally broke up with Jessica.

Carol is right that Henry is too young to raise the baby. I'm glad that Carol and Daryl are getting the chance to raise the baby. I liked that Henry promised to help them.

Finally, I'm glad John and Julie are giving their relationship a second chance.

This was a great final chapter to a great story.

Always so sad when it’s the end, but I’m thankful that you’ve given us another wonderful story of our beloved Caryl. I loved so much that they’re going to raise a baby, wish we could’ve seen some of that...Caryl and babies are my weakness! Really beautiful ending, I’ll picture them growing old together happy and in love, with their kids. The best kind of ending we could ever hope for for them. Thank you again, I’ve enjoyed every chapter of this fic. I am hoping we will be so lucky to get another Caryl story from you. Your writing is a true treasure to the Caryl fandom.

I am sorry to see this end as I love all your stories and wish they could continue forever but you wrapped things up nicely. There is one thing I would like to see you write though. In some of your stories you give Carol and Daryl a baby but we never experience their trials of raising the child. It would be interesting to see how Daryl's fear of turning into his father and Carol's guilt at losing Sophia would affect their child raising. I know we saw a bit of it with Hersey and Henry but not the challenges of an infant. Just something to consider. Thank you for all your stories.

Whenever your stories end, I get so so so so depressed... I love that in each story of yours, I get to read a whole new different Caryl. Like in Reaping the Harvest, I get to read the beginning of their romance and how they’d be like in a long distance relationship. In Where the Light Enters, I get to read the development of their friendship and how it blossomed into love. And in this story, I get to read how they’d act as parents and them re-building civilization. Thank you for writing all the amazing Caryl stories of yours! I re-read them all the time! Hopefully it won’t be long until your next one!

I did not expect this story to be over so soon, but I can tell you that I enjoyed every bit of it!

Henry has made great strides from the arrogant kid he was in the beginning of this story, but I never expected him to take the Dixon name.
