Bold shift from the beginning, I’ll give you that.
The 2017 movie may have done an interesting job at making the characters ‘edgier’, but there’s still a significant jump between Jason having a criminal record for a prank that went wrong and Zack actually using drugs. That said, you expressed it in a manner that acknowledged their original core characteristics while still giving them issues. Granted, I question the other four Rangers having negative traits so significant that it ‘taints’ their costumes, I can’t fault the idea of Jason as the explicit moral centre of the new team.
You go on to create a fascinating exploration of the Rangers’ awkward attempts to come together as a team, and while I feel you’ve neglected some opportunities to explore the full depth of Zack and Billy’s issues in the last few chapters, I can’t fault the interesting relationship you’re creating for Jason, Trini and Kim so far.
To say nothing of how you acknowledge that Rita’s lack of direct assault at this point is due to her personal weakness after only just being released from her original prison; a simple justification, but an effective one.
With Jason and Trini in particular growing in strength while the Rangers as a whole continue to come closer together, I look forward to seeing what happens when you start to bring in some of the greater threats from this era, such as Cyclopsis (I admit I’m also intrigued to see if you’ll do anything with the Green Ranger; while your comments suggest you won’t include Tommy directly, that’s surely too big a storyline for it to be COMPLETELY cut).

Yeah. That backpack thing on the Megazord’s back? I think those were supposed to be back/shoulder cannons, but they were never used in the show. The only time I saw them in action was in a video game called Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Mega Battle. It’s one of the Megazord’s attacks in that game.

It is nice to see the relationship between Jason and Trini progressing. In the next chapter I guess we will find out how Kim takes the end of this chapter. It has been so long since I have watched the show I forgot that there is a Megazord Tank Mode, looking it up brought back some memories :)

Ah, good ol' Ernie. Glad to see he's still giving out good advice (RIP Richard Genelle). Different configurations for the Zords? Very cool. I don't remember such a combination in the show, so I'm guessing it's more an OC than anything. Love the lemon at the end, that was worth the wait lol. Great chapter!

Question, did you get the back cannon idea of the megazord from Mighty morphin power rangers mega battle? Because I haven’t seen the Dino Megazord use it’s back cannons anywhere else except for that game.

I like how they have powers that are starting to develop. Looking forward to reading more.

New powers, huh? Seems they weren't the Rangers Zordon wanted, but they're quickly becoming the Rangers he needs.

I only hope Rita doesn't get the idea, with the body she's designed for herself, that she can seduce them all with sex.

OK, was that last sentence in this chapter a hint of things to come in the next one?

Interesting chapter and your once a month update schedule for this one is killing me, but it's better than bimonthly or never. So great job and keep it up.
