Hmmm... Dick feels a little like Jason at times... and though I know dialogue can be difficult, I think you rushed Dick's explanation a little bit. It could use more pauses or emotional descriptions. Dick is a pretty sensitive dude who feels deeply, so it deserves a little more attention.
I really like where you are going with this, though. Ever consider adding to it?

I don't care what everyone else says, but this is a good stand alone piece. Though, I do enjoy the fact that it's left open for possible future chapters. I am both irked there's no more, yet satisfied with the end. I do hope that one day you use your wonderful writing skills to create a new book for my collection. Fingers crossed.

omg, i was starting to cry i felt so bad for the waynes...again. i really loved this story, it was just packed full of emotions, and heart break that my heart started breaking with them.
