I just reread this because why not? Also I’m not sure if I actually left a review the first time I read it so here goes:
I love. Characterization is just MWAH. Also certain lines in this made me relate on a such a personal level it scared me. I was like “... this is literally something I have said five times word for word in the past month wow how creepy”
But yes! Here’s to reading fic again and being mind blown! I genuinely don’t know how on earth you’re able to write stuff like this! It is impeccable! Perfection! Flawless! Makes me feel stuff that hurts, but it hurts so good! If you want to be a writer, then you got this stuff DOWN! Anyways, I loved it very much even after the second time, so thank you!

so I finally read this last night (read: at like 4am) and waited until the morning to review so it made somewhat sense, and can I just be the first to say I highly recommend everyone reading fanfiction at 4 in the morning? like everything is ten times funnier and sweeter, and feelings hello yes, long time no see.

anyway. hands down the best part of this entire fanfic is thalia. like wtf she is so funny, and it’s so true to character, and I love this story so much for doing her justice. she’s a tricky one to get right, and her obsession with weed and betting and constantly intimidating leo but in a fun way eYE—

the second best characterization by far is octavian. obviously we can’t really say if it’s true to canon or not because he’s hardly talked about in the canon books, but this is quite possibly the funniest interpretation of him. what a shameless creep. (and percy’s outspoken hatred for him is the best thing since sliced bread thank you very much. I think people forget that even if he’s super polite and sweet, he’s also shamelessly outspoken and has zero filter and will say what he thinks about terrible people straight to their face, so I got ridiculously excited over that lol).

my favorite thing of all time about your writing is the humor. the second I read your a/n and saw “it doesn’t take two it takes twelve and also probably lots of alcohol” I knew this was going to be yet another fabulous oneshot lmao. and percy and annabeth’s awkward dynamics, and annabeth’s pettiness, and the end with them just confessing and laughing at their stupidity? hilarious. (“magical vagina” is my new favorite phrase, and no one can convince me otherwise). also realistic teens? uhm yes? watching pirated movies? oreos being dirty talk? yes! yes, a thousand times yes!

also can we just talk about how creative this is? like I’m sure people have tried musical percabeth stories before, but not like this, not with them directing the show instead of cheesily playing the two main characters. and not nearly as fairly as this. annabeth isn’t perfect! alert the press! (I love it). she’s petty, and bossy, and mean, and rude, and oblivious, and emotional, and sweet, and witty, and clever, and short-tempered, and secretly full of self-doubt, and yes, mia, you said it once to me, and I have to throw your own words back at you now: “YES queen go paint with all the colours multi-faceted and nuanced female characters hell yeah”

anyway, this was lovely, and I don't even care that I have an online french class going on right now because this was totally worth ignoring that for, and I can’t wait to get through more of your writing when I have more time. (I’ve finally managed to begin digging through oke and it’s seriously better than you give yourself credit for. like yes, I can see why you may not like it as much, but it’s refreshingly clever at times. also I saw your review about 20 minutes ago and tysm for catching the best years reference? no one else did, and it was v depressing, and I also love lover of mine, but who am I kidding—I love everything in that album). thank you for writing such a wonderful oneshot!

Okay, so first of all I just love the entire concept? Like Theatre AU? Yes please, sign me up for this. Percy and Annabeth working together, Annabeth being really bossy and everyone looking up to Percy? Check. Friends to lovers? Check. Mutual pining and angst as they think the other is not interested and they don't want to spoil their friendship? Check. Like you just have so many elements in this story that I just adore and when you put them all together and they are written by the beautiful and marvellous Mia, it becomes pure perfection. The humour in this is just always spot on and one of the elements I always cherish most in your fics. I had such a blast reading this, I feel like I've been in such a reading slump lately and haven't enjoyed a lot of books as much as I normally do and rereading your fics was just so fun and light and entertaining and god that's actually what I need, especially now.

Just Annabeth as a director wow I love it and her just not ready to put up with any of this. Two minutes into the job and already she's regretting it and honestly who can blame her. Annabeth just not putting up with anything and just losing her mind cos it's bloody impossible to keep this lot under control, like rehearsals have only just started and already everything's going wrong? Annabeth's thoughts towards Thalia and all her interactions with Piper and Leo at the start omw I just love it you can tell she so stressed out and it's just hilarious how everything is starting out and not going her way. Also I can I just say thAT Octavian, oh man Octavian in this. Everything that he just says, it's just so ridiculous and outrageous like how did you come up with half of these lines, all his parts have me in BITS. Like whenever you write Octavian you just get him spot on cos he's strange and creeepy and you never know what the hell he's going to say next and it just injects so much light humour into the piece. And then just Annabeth and Percy's friendship/relationship during this whole fic, like asdfghjkl I just love it so much and then them pretending to act as a married couple for a minute and just messing around in general and being so close and affectionate ahh I love it. Also just the line about Percy when he was younger and like sticking carrots up his nose and then crying? And also the bit about Annabeth conning all the parents into buying tickets to their crappy concert ahh.

Also just the nicknames again for Annabeth, my soft heart. And Annabeth making Drew an Ugly Stepsister and #2 at that, cos she can be petty lol *screams laughing*. Drew being all nasty but Annabeth can play that game as well and she can hit back just as hard, yes girl stand up for yourself! Hahahaha Annabeth slamming Percy's fingers in the locker while he fawns over Drew omg and just Annabeth being so not a fan of Drew and being delighted when Hazel, nicest person in the universe, doesn't like her. (Omw have you ever watched the Lizzie Bennet Diaries before? It's amazing but anyways Hazel reminds me of Jane in it, now I really want someone to write a modern Pride & Prejudice/LBD/PJ fic where Hazel is Jane and like idk Annabeth is Lizzy? I'm trying to think who everyone else would be, but I'm getting SIDETRACKED, back to the review Ais.)

Also poor Hazel, having to act as Octavian's wife, I would run for the hills, like LEAVE HER ALONE dude! whhy would you need to... stroke her? Also Octavian coming up with an entire backstory and list of facts about my character, that just completely cracked me up. Also when they go for pancakes and you can tell Percy's about to talk about his fEeLinGs but then Leo and Piper show up aghh and it's so obvious that he's put off cos he had something important to say but Annabeth's just like "oh wonder why Percy's acting weird oh well" ahhh Annabeth he's iN loVe with yOu, how are you so blind? *puts face in hands*. But like I love how Annabeth encourages Percy with his dream to be a teacher and how Percy can get Annabeth to see how she's being too harsh without giving out to her, you know? I just love how they support and uplift and sometimes hold each other responsible.

Oh Annabeth dear, even I can tell you that using a whistle is a terrible idea. Also, another character that is absolutely stellar in this? Thalia. That's it, that's the post, nothing else needs to be said. Also the fact that literally EVERYONE figures out Annabeth and Percy like each other before they do themselves is so hilarious but also frustrating. How can you be so blinddd Percabeth? Piper and Thalia exchanging glances is literally just all of us right now. AND THEN PERCY DEFENDING ANNABETH WHEN DREW IS BEING WITCHY AND A SNAKE ahhh yes PERcy defend your girl! iT makes me so happy cos Drew is nothing but nasty in this and I'm so glad Percy starts to see her true colours and stop putting up with her bs. Annabeth getting so happy over Percy taking her side so cute haha.

Bloody Octavian again, omw just everything that comes out of his mouth, like not everything has to have underlying sexual tension hahahaha. Annanbeth losing her cool and giving out to Octavian and the only thing he takes away from it is that she said the wrong name *wheezes*. Percy offering to pay and Annabeth squeezing out all she can get haha. Honestly same sis, if I had to deal with Octavian I would also be on the verge of a heart attack or a breakdown. AND THEN PERCY ACTING WEIRD AGAIN COS HE ALMOST TELLS HER ahhhhh whyyyyy. Jason getting impressed by Piper, damn someone is smIttEn. And Piper getting distracted by that fact ahhh amazing and her insisting Percy and Annabeth are on a date, I love this girl.

Ms Dodds, omg she is the worst, Percy just coming to save the day and Piper and Leo losing it, this is just pure gold. Percy and Annabeth snuggling *melts into a soppy puddle*. Octavian asking if they should undress, wft dude ;..) like what even. ANd once again Percy is blocked from telling Annabeth his feelings when Piper unintentionally ruins his plans by inviting herself to the sleepover. Then Annabeth getting hurt cos she thinks they're hiding stuff from her nooooooo my poor baby. Also Annabeth, you're an intelligent young woman, how the hell did you not figure out what they were talking about?

The thing about nail polish omg so accurate. AWWWWW Percy all tipsy and complimenting Annabeth is just the cutest thing ever, my heart. Percy almost telling her and Annabeth misunderstanding and then Piper interrupting noooooooo... this pair just has the worst luck with timing. AND THEN PIPER RUINS IT AGAIN! Annabeth realising she's in love just as Percy's about to admit it, oh the irony.

Annabeth trying to act like she wants Percy to be happy with Drew and then Percy's just utter shock at the idea and then Annabeth's super happy until Percy says he likes someone else :( Annabelle? ANNABELLE? How on earth could you not cop on to the fact that he's talking about you?! Aghhh you really are out here breaking my heart with your stupidity Annabeth. Thalia eating over a teacher's desk to get even, damn I admire that and just her reasoning behind that all is just hilarious. Them both reacting to Thalia calling them lovebirds asdfghjkl.

The whole conversation between Annabeth and Chiron while playing chess and her spilling her feelings and him encouraging her to tell Percy as she'll never know how he feels otherwise, it's just so wonderful and exactly what Annabeth needed. Ocatvian quitting thank god, but honestly so unprofessional, thank goodness Percy was there to save the day. The way Percy looks at Annabeth at the end and promising her that she'll have her perfect show and not let her down *cries*. Drew putting on a full face of makeup, what does that girl think she's DOING ahem Ugly Stepsister #2? Annabeth afraid to losing her friend with Percy awww my heart, but girl HE LIKES YOU! Annabeth thinking she's not good enough for Percy *sobs* no no this is not acceptable, you are just as wonderful in your own way Annabeth. Thalia then also asking Annabeth what the hell is going on with her and Percy *cackles in glee* and the betting pool asdfghjkl this is a reoccurring trope in your fics and I am DOWN for it. Annabeth fixing Percy's collar and then blurting out that she thinks he's handsome ahahahaha.

Annabeth, just like everything she feels when she sees Percy on stage asdfghjkl. Thalia when she thinks Annabeth's about to reveal her feelings *cries with laughter*. Annabeth twisting the prize for the whistle bet haha. Percy taking her hands aww I'm a broken woman, and Annabeth still be sTUpiD, IT'S YOU! The ending, both of them realising how silly they've both been and then the kiss! At long last.

This was just perfect and I adored it, as I've said before mutual pining and blind Percabeth is just my favourite. Reading this was so fun and aghh I just had so many feels and I really enjoyed reviewing this, I had so much fun so I'm really looking forward to whenever you start your next multichapter fic cos I will be eating that up and reviewing the heck out of it. Anyways, that's just my appreciation post of this fic (I'm actually listening to Taylor Swift as I finish this and Lover is such a good album from the few songs I've listened to), see you next time!

This was so well written. I love it

Literally the entire time i was thinking "theyre so stupid", and honestly they are, but that was a simply brilliant story, and im probably going to end up reading it again, even though it's literally midnight and if my parents find me reading fanfics, they will have my head, but like, all your stories are worth because they're faboo, and you probably are too if you wrote that. I just love the moment she realized she was in love with Percy because she just like:
She's in love with Percy.
Well, crap.
And you are literally just a witch with words. Honestly, you are what this world needs, and if you write a book i will not complain. Like, id need to be notified immediately. But i get that this super long, so I'll leave now, because you probably dont want me hacking all over your review page.

I love the way they sorta fall in love with each other during the story, and how they used to be totally different people. I wish we saw some Grover in this, but Octavian was hilarious. I laughed so hard. Annabeth was great, and so was Percy, and I wish we got to see our own play of this beautiful story.

Probably the best Percabeth story I’ve ever read. Keep up the great work :)
