Omg, I just finished this anime and then went straight to looking for fanfics because it felt so unfinished.
Yours is the first one I found but it’s also perfect. The characters are so true to the anime! I love your writing style and I can’t wait for the next chapter!

Also even though he’s a creep, I glad you’re bringing Danny back- he makes a great villian.

Oh god it was HIM! Things are about to get interesting! Wonder what Danny has planned, I’m sure taking out Zack first is key, obviously he isn’t getting near Ray with him around... hmmmmm... the plot thickens. They kissed! I’m so stoked! FINALLY MY BOY HAS GROWN UP! Realizing that he can have emotions and be some what willing to show them, that’s a HUGE step. I love how they’ve come along in your writings. Slowly healing from so much damage to be able to be not only rely on one another, but be VULNERABLE in each other’s presence. Something neither would have even dreamed of doing before meeting. And Zack realizing he liked kissing Ray? Such an Issac thing to think, but understandable after living in back alleys and seeing the dirtiest of the dirty disgusting things humans can and will do even if it’s just to get laid. I wonder what book Rachel could have been reading? Sounds like she’s been finding some interesting things on their journeys lol! Perhaps she got her hands on a raunchy romance novel, naughty Ray, it’s putting ideas in her head. Teaching her how to fight? Wonder how Zack will handle that request considering she’ll chew him out if he doesn’t truly teach her, but I imagine him being reluctant out of fear of accidentally hurting her. He does tend to act on instinct when it comes to most conflicts. I’m so glad you’re back and released another chapter and excited to hear you are doing well and healthy! Crazy times these past few months and we are only half way through the year, but things are hopefully looking up on your end? I hope so! Getting to read another installment has certainly lifted my spirits. With so much going on nowadays this was a wonderful break, to be able to read a story I’ve fallen in love with and not think about the what if’s going on in the world but about the what if’s of two of my favorite characters! I’m sad to hear that there may not be but a few chapters left, but you could be on chapter 60 and I’d say the same thing. The more I read the more I want, a never ending cycle, but damn your writing is just so good! I’m hooked! Aaannndd I did it again, another novel comment for you to read, but I enjoy letting you know that I’m still reading, still hooked, still here and no matter how long it takes to put out the next chapter (because life happens and we can’t stop it!) holy shit Holy Shit HOLY SHIT! I’m so glad you got another chapter out and once again I CAN NOT WAIT for another one. Was it Danny? Oh my god IT WAS DANNY! That peepers motherfucker is the only one that would put Zack in a panic and immediately start freaking out about where Ray is. Gotta be, no? Maybe? If so he’s more like a cockroach than I first thought, the freak. Zack hitting second puberty? Fucking fantastically hilarious. Love it. I’m glad he’s finally realizing he’s attracted to her, poor guy just doesn’t have a clue how to handle anything that isn’t kill this and eat that and hide here. Should Ray get him a collar? Might as well. On top of acting like an overgrown puppy at times he now heeds to her every beck and call. Girl even has him trained like one hahaha. Seriously though, I’m so glad you’ve continued this and even did an exceptional job time skipping which I know can be hard to do. You did it beautifully, giving us a little glimpse of the growing they’ve been doing without having to divulge years worth of running. And man oh man did that guy fuck up touching Ray, first Ray gets jealous over a woman that passes them on the street and then Zack goes ballistic when a guy touches her. HIS GIRL, possessive and overprotective as hell, but that’s Zack, when you only care about one thing in the world you cling to it, just as Ray is doing to him. How do you see Ray handling it if the situation was flipped? I can totally see her flipping out (on the inside of course) and carefully planning to sew the bitch up in ways that might even give Zack nightmares. Anyways, sorry for my paragraph, but I was so excited to see you back and went back to reread some earlier chapters to make sure I didn’t miss anything and had to post and let you know I’m still here, still reading, and still cheering you on!
