I really like this story

Started reading this not realizing it was part of a series oops. Off to the beginning I go~!

Very good so far, I would’ve loved to have seen how their romance started though.

This is a pretty good sequel and much like the fist one it is fairly underrated . Sure the premise is screwy, but that is not unusual for fan fiction. The plot is reasonably interesting with decent character progression and some neat developments. There were few problems like typos or inconsistencies to be found. Though the wedding did not seem to really fit in as it came off too mundane and muggle for Emily. While not a major issue, it still seemed weird. In any case, this was a good read overall.

I never knew I could enjoy a fic with a premise like this, but you're doing a great job if I'm being totally honest.

What a ridiculous ff it has become from a promising one , the Emily riddle is as competent as Draco's bodyguard carbo and goyle and that is saying something for a so called dark lord who managed to sway so many pureblood to her cause , her plan fails each time and yet her ego never fails how she even managed to becomes dark lord with such pathetic brains and about this harry potter the less said the better , wasn't he the master of death and dumbledor gave three items so that he could beat Emily if she ever goes back to her old self and then what the hell that harry potter can't beat voldmert's horcrux , he can't beat Bellatrix then what he can do nothing he is a big joke and he is thinking about how Emily can do this to him instead of fighting or did he forget if he gets killed then there will be no one to stop voldmert and why dumbledor even made him master of death if it means nothing , such useless ff from a pathetic writter and I am done with it now

I just finished Gaining Power, and I'm really glad I hopped back in to this story. Your way of writing Voldemort and Harry's relationship is excellent, and I can't wait to read the next parts!

I'm so unbelievably happy that the love survived the missing horcrux, and that Harry was right there with Emily on hiding another horcrux. It's really hard to capture how in sync long term couples are, but that slow build up to them both planning the same thing independently was awesome.

Nice finish for the second part of you series :)
It’s really nice to see the character development that Emily went trough. In the beginning she wanted to rule the world as a tyrant and have Harry be her boy-toy and now she treats him as an equal and all in all became a bit less focused on hurting other people for no reason. The best part is that although she has changed, at her core she is still ruthless so you kept her original character.

This and swallow and the dragon are my two best ever storylines in fanfic todate

Excellent work as always, and glad to see you still refuse to compromise on her deviousness and general personality. Ah, it seems so long ago she planned to have a weekend long torture and rape party for Harry, but I can still see that manic woman displayed in her casual poisoning of nearly six hundred people. And yet, in nearly the same breath we see her devotion and how she has changed, as by doing so she sacrifices what at one time would have been most valuable to her, literal pieces of herself. Bravo, and sincerely looking forward to more.
