Hey my friend, I'm so happy to find his "one shot" finished after ten chapters ! I especially appreciated to see details of what might have happened between the season premiere and the second episode because as always the scenarists tend to skip important events, just to tell the main story. I never understood how long passed between those two episodes. I felt bad to see a lonely Gibbs in the bullpen at the end of the premiere and was glad that you at least made Fornell stay with him. Flashbacks and nightmares of both men were horrible scenes, but helped us understand better what they went through. It was good to see an emotional and more vulnerable Gibbs here since it's more realistic than his stoic self of the show. I loved the Tim/Tony conversation but the Bishop/Gibbs conversation was interesting too. I can't believe that four months passed between their rescue and them seeing each other again without getting news about each other, especially not seeing Grace during their other therapies. Why wait four months to consult her ? It was nice to see the Gibbs/Grace and Gibbs/Delilah conversations too, these were important details about their recovery that I believe it should be included in the show. I was glad that Quinn had left the show, never liked her ! This ten chaptered story of both men's journey towards normalcy is much logical then the two episodes we were shown, if you ask me ! This was a very well written story. You delved into the minds of Tim, Gibbs and the team and showed us what you thought might be going on in their heads after Paraguay, and it all rang true. It wasn't an action packed thriller of a fanfic, but a quiet introspective look into dealing with PTS...and you did a great job with it. Thanks for posting.

Have to say Gibbs is surrounded by formidable women. I liked Dr. Grace getting him to talk in her stubborn way and the talk with Delilah was masterfully done.

This is an amazing story of an area that the writers did NOT give enough attention to. I cannot believe how well you get inside of McGee and Gibbs in these 9 chapters! And not just in a obvious way..."Tim and McGee had PTSD"...but by peeling away layers of protection that especially Tim's brain was throwing up. I like the scenes with each of the other primary characters so they can work out their guilt, frustration, etc. I think the addition of other villains in Tim's nightmares was a good touch. The only thing I wish is that the dream/nightmares were introduced as such - sometimes I felt I was reading about reality. But I think you did that on purpose...as if the character was actually going through this until suddenly he realized the person is dead. (It makes me think of some scene in a real episode where Gibbs wakes up in bed with Shannon feeling very happy and content...until he realizes that it is a dream. Or the many scenes of him on the beach with Kelly and Shannon.) Anyway, you completely nailed the characters in this story and filled in the interactions that the writers left out. The relationships between Tim, Gibbs, Nick, Delilah, and Bishop all needed more exploration as they deal with their anger or guilt. (And of all of the interactions, I had never thought that Gibbs would be afraid to see Delilah again. Good catch on that one!)

I liked how you handled Tim's situation and reactions to coming home and trying to make things back to normal.
I like the honest conversation with Gibbs I think they both needed it

So excited to see this chapter! I also loved the Gibbs-McGee basement scene in "Twofer." Those few lines told us a great deal about their emotions at that time. Also excited to hear that you will be giving us another chapter! This has been a beautiful story.

It could be the last chapter after this talk yes. but a nice "epilogue" would be nice...

I'm really enjoying this story so far, you've truly captured the characters and the interactions between McGee and Delilah and the others were heartwarming and sad to read, given what Gibbs and McGee have had to go through.

The humour is also great, favourite bit was Delilah mentioning her dream about flying around the Washington Monument.

The description and detail in the nightmares were very vivid and creepy.

My only gripe with this story so far is that I'd really love it if Sarah McGee, Penny McGee and McGee's friends from Homesick appeared and showed their support and comfort. Particularly McGee's friends since they went through a horrifying experience as well, sure they're different experiences but both are equally traumatising.

So glad to see this chapter! You do a great job delving into Gibbs’ psyche, as well as showing his relationship with Leon. I am looking forward to the next chapter and hoping it will not be the last. Love the little nod to the future appearance of Jack.

I agree about Gibbs being almost giddy to be back and still having nightmares. I do like his reflection that he does need help and is probably suffering from some PTS.
