Why would he choose lightning of all things? With his shadow jutsu, which is all he knows rn and doesn't know you can get skills or such yet, that was literally the stupidest and worst choice to make.

Woaaaah. That's pretty damn cool! I loved Shika's character so it's fun to see how you can twist all these things around. Can't wait for him to learn that shadow teleportation.
Btw, he really should have noticed the dungeon in one of the notices before and also about saving the skill points.

I highly recommend this story. It's a more realistic take on the gamer idea in Naruto. What happens when the obvious things the gamer does actually get noticed? i can't wait to see what happens, keep it up :)

hehehe. as a test have the hokage write and assign him 1000 d ranks of moving a coin from one side of the desk to another 1 time each. a one time thing before the game updates and disallows it again. that should give him plenty of AP points and experience. lol. finding loopholes in the game gives an additional legendary bonus perhaps

You should at the status effect 'Motivated' for him, and a motivated Nara is a scary thing. It would increase his Int, stamina and chakra reserves all at once and give an EXP boost for the length of the effect.

If I were Shikamaru I'd be extremely unhappy about this, basically the Hokage has admitted to spying on him, a loyal genin, extensively. The fact that he has the ability to spy on clan grounds is a major issue when it comes to clan secrets. The Ino-Shika-Cho techniques are all learnable by others and I can't imagine them (or any clan) being happy that there's a way to spy on their training.

I'd love to see some push back here, after all if the Hokage can order him to answer that question then what stops him from ordering the clan shinobi to explain secret clan jutsu.
