I can understand some of the complaints the story gets, but at the same time I just can’t bring myself to care about any of them. I wanted some good, quality Jaune/Cinder that I could see happening, and you delivered on all accounts. Loved the story.

Honestly, this story was well written and the burn towards the final sequence of them getting together was well worth it. Believable more so after Jaune has had years to temper his turmoil. Adding it to my faves cause this is probably one of my favorite pieces of work.

As was pointed out by other reviews, their 'confrontation' felt super unrealistic and just bad.

What I would have expected: Jaune gets consumed by rage and just charges at her. A little fighting, maybe the paintings play a role in that. In the end, Jaune has Cinder at her mercy; She gives up, maybe even urging him to kill her, but he can't just strike her down. He feels disgusted with himself and flees. He beats himself up over it until eventually his curiosity wins out and he decides to 'investigate' Cinder.

Well, that's just one of many possible scenarios. Anything, really ANYTHING, would have been better than their horrid dialogue.

The next few chapters didn't do anything to make me want to keep on reading either. Their interactions feel very boring, clichée, and OOC (for this setting). Jaune is supposed to be 30, but he acts very immaturelyas if he's still 17.

It's really sad considering the premise was very interesting. Also, maybe I'd mention in the description that the story takes place after Salem has been defeateda tiny (extremely significant) detail. Reading the description, I would have guessed that it plays in a world where Salem has basically won and Jaune is the last survivor of teams JNPR and RWBY; Cinder is bored (hence why she paints) and has her fun with him. Something like that.

I want to like this, but that was the most unrealistic and unsatisfying meeting ever.

She is more deserving of the title "terrorist" than anyone, ever. Literally commits crimes against humanity, joins the side fighting for the extinction of mankind, and kills the only people that can protect others against the grimm.

That earns AT LEAST an attempt to bring her in to the authorities.

Not even attempting to is a betrayal to all those who suffered at her hands.

This was a good ending to painting penance. I love seeing the Jaune's reactions to the paintings and that Cinder and Jaune formed a family with multiple children. The demigoddess of fertility line was hilarious

I would like to see an epilogue to this. Maybe some of familiar faces could show up? Anyway I'll check out your new story "Old Order".
