Hmmm, interesting turn of events. I like this concept and can almost place the timeline when and parts of universe that this story is taking place, but I can be wrong due to several elements. However, I like this story and hope that you continue it in the future.

Story's pretty good, though I never could figure out how old Kara is supposed to be. At first I thought she was still 9 and the pod did a stasis thing. Then that maybe she was like 11 or 12. Then Donna's eyeing her and she's suddenly being taken on a mission instead of just training and I have cause to suspect she's... I don't even know, late teens?

Poor Donna, getting such a lame name. They could have at least made it Shieldmaiden, all one word like the Norse so it sounds half decent instead of making it sound like she's just a maiden with a shield.
