Beautiful story, wonderful rendition of the ending. I love it!

Just what I needed after binge-finished the show today and crying for a whole hour! Just what they deserved. Brilliant show, let down by the ending leaving room for another season. I’m going to pretend it didn’t happen and think of this instead! Xx

Now here's a fresh approach. I never cared much for the whole Keats premise, but making him into another fallen copper, only fallen in two senses, is more satisfying than leaving him as a demon with a mission and a palpable contempt for everyone around him. The possibility of redemption, even a small one, is welcome.

And of course reuniting Alex and Gene, leaving them to fight for another day - and more - is absolutely welcome.

I enjoyed this very much. I like your different take on why Keats was like he was. 3.08 was heartbreakingly sad at the time and I don't blame you for the rewrite.
