Holy shit that was awesome.

I really liked the curve of Qrow's emotional status here. Starting out knowing that something was wrong, but slowly accepting it, only to start piecing together all of the clues.

The idea of a Grimm that kills by trapping people in paradise is one I've seen in a few places, and I always love it. Qrow is the perfect foil for it though, because he literally couldn't have a perfect life due to his semblance.

Loved this, hoping to see more in the future!

This reminded me so much of The Man Who Has Everything.
24HoursADay chapter 1 . 10/2/2018
This. I liked this. It's short, but interesting and well-written. It's a nice peek into Qrow's head, his regrets, and wishes. So, as I tend to do with interesting writers, I'mma follow you now. Good job.

I LOVED this- I get a very "Black Mercy" vibe from the Grimm, which I assume was the inspiration. Poor Qrow, his dream world seemed very nice.

Overall, excellent work!

My god was this a good read. I can't help but feel a tinge of pain for my man Qrow. Excellent read and I'm saddened that it's only a one-shot. Alas, great story and I'm hoping to see what further stories you have planned.
Gleaming Onyx chapter 1 . 10/2/2018
Short, sweet and to the point. I find the last bit rather interesting which I won't openly state just in case someone's peeking into reviews to see if it's good: few times something like that is written to be somewhat sympathetic. Looks like they both were the odd ones.

Glad you posted. I know you're working hard on your own original projects but hopefully posting some fun stuff will help get you a generate a bit of buzz.

It's a fun story, that could easily be canon and is keeping with Qrow's broken nature and personal regrets. It also has his edge of self-loathing. It's vague just as the history of Team STRQ is vague (still... through 5 seasons) and thus feels like it belongs in the mythos.

In short, this is a great story. If I had one criticism, the timeline feels muddy, with Qrow separated from Team JNRR (always agree with Nora) and Oscar and on his own in Vacuo. Even still, Qrow heaping Beacon onto the mountain of his regrets feels completely fitting. It's the nittiest of picks by one of the nittiest of wits. (I like to believe Barbara is my spirit animal... Which is pretty insulting to Barbara so please don't tell her).

Chibi Ren and Chibi Mercury. How else would his legs end up that way? Never touch what belongs to Mistriss Thunderclap evil doer! Thanks for posting and contributing to the fandom.

Excellent work darth! Always like a look into character's heads, and this is a great look at Qrow.
Constable Paperbag chapter 1 . 10/2/2018
Good to see this get released. I loved this contest entry. You had me on the edge of my seat reading this. There's not a lotta mystery stories in the fandom, so it's good to see someone taking a stab at it. And what a good job you did of it too - the ending is satisfying yet bittersweet. Really captures the essence of Qrow's character and what a sad life he might lead in canon.

My favourite line was when Qrow asked about the booze and the spider said "You tell me. It was your fantasy." That was such a powerful line. I felt a punch to my gut when I read it. Poor Qrow.

Anyway, you did a great job with this. Well done.
