Holy cow! Are we nearing the end now that Trunks has at least come to terms with his feelings? And Trunks and Goten made up! The boys are back!

I don't know if it was intentional but when Trunks and Goten teamed I was so reminded of them going against Eighteen in the tournament as kids and she is one formidable opponent, no doubt. She also kind of put things in perspective for me as an outsider. I think as a parent, it's probably easy to be overprotective so I couldn't hold it against her too much particularly that she hasn't been around to see Trunks' growth. I like to think she saw it at the end there though you kind of drove it home. :D

Poor Marron though! She didn't even get to hear Trunks' romantic declaration of love...but her dad, mom, and childhood best friend did...that's going to be a little awkward, lol. Long time no talk, how've you been?

Alright, loved this chapter. I was really excited to see some more of Krillin and 18 and you definitely brought it. I like that 18 still has her cold shoulder to Vegeta lol, it sounds just like her. I never really thought of her as a super protective parent, but it works!

Also YES, GOTEN TO THE RESCUE! I'm super happy that Goten had Trunks' back, it just kinda sucks that the situation that brought them back together was a sad one lol.

I see a lot of semi-narrative thoughts going on this chapter and it reminds me of my own sort of style. One thing I wanna advise is that separate thoughts should be separate phrases or paragraphs. There were some instances where I was reading through and I had to kinda piece together what she was thinking because all the thoughts were kinda bunched together. Other that, great work as always :)

I love how this story has evolved! Seeing Krillin and Lazuli's reaction more in-depth was fantastic, especially with the childhood flashback. A mother will always want to protect her child. Now that the senzu beans are off the table, I'm itching to know how Marron's recovery will go and if Trunks will be helping along the way.

I'm a few days delayed, but what a great update! Trunks has finally said it, and he had an audience too... I guess we'll see how Marron's parents react later on. And not that Goten is surprised of course. Hope Marron recovers quickly and doesn't need any surgery or other long term recovery.

From a mechanical standpoint, I found the bit in brackets a bit awkward since you don't really see parentheses in fiction writing. I think the use of hyphens instead might have made more sense, but other than that, I got nothing lol.
