Great chapter! It's perfect that Mr. Carson figures out that he either fell in love with her after she was gone or that he had actually loved her for much longer, but didn't realize it until she was gone. Poor man. I bet he is wild to see her. Not much longer before he can. Looking forward to the next chapter!

I have been reading your works consistently ever since Matters of the Heart, and I'm still as in love with your style and talent as I was then. :) This scene did, indeed, remind me of Remains... in the best way possible.
