So, this chapter tells me that you have seen how to train your Dragon: the hidden world. Also, it does make me wonder if Cami slip of the tongue was accidental.

The stage is being set for Astrid to confront Ruff's and Tuff's RBC on her show...

And save Hiccup from himself...

And Ruffnut's abusive mishandling of Hiccup, to have him fall on her sword, instead of her impaling herself on her own hubris and arrogance.

She and Hiccup have so much going on in their lives together, that Astrid may have to fight to get Hiccup from Ruff's abusive manipulations...

And have him stand on his own two feet instead of in Ruff's snare of a net...

I think that sooner or later, Hiccup's going to have to reveal just what kind of 'hold' Ruff has on him...or it's going to ruin every else, but her 'hold' on him. So she will be easily able to take him...

Just like an abuser is wont to do.

Hiccup had better fully explain to Astrid exactly why he freaked out...it may save his life, before it saves their relationship...
