There is only one think I do not agree. Uther succeded in remowing the Lordship of the Dragonlords so Merlin has no right to be there.

I am really intrigued to see what happens with Morgana in this fic. Great work!

Please do update soon. I read your story from the beginning (obviously) and was amazed at how grave, and well planned and complex it became. I eagerly await the next chapter.

Hey Selkie. Finally Uther has been brought before the council. What a show! Some of those old councillors just need to be retired - or executed (my favourite option!) Would have loved to be a fly on the wall for this one.
Gwaine and Merlin were wonderful. What a shock for so many to see these men as they are. Arthur did an exceptional job of keeping it all together and answering any objection issued. I could not have done it. I think my favourite was the calling for a second opinion from another physician when only Gaius - and Merlin - practice medicine in all of Camelot - priceless.
As for accusing, and rightfully so, Uther of using magic when it suited him, well that said a hell of a lot by itself.
Lachlan standing over Merlins shoulder was another master stroke. Hunith put those men in their place (go Hunith). Not a woman to mess with.
I could go on and on but I will finish here. Thank you Selkie. Wonderful.

Oh wow, way to build up the suspense! I can’t wait to see what happens next/how everything pans out with the council as they address Uthers crimes and are forced to adjust to facing the reality of the situation! And everyone’s reactions to merlins new look is fantastic I think you do a wonderful job illustrating how he’s still the same humble, loveable idiot despite beginning to openly accept — almost unapologetically and certainly with pride — the true position of power he holds both as Emrys and the last dragon lord (as he should!) And again, what a chapter. Do I feel sorry for Uther? No way in hell. I feel for Arthur having to face this monster called his father. Good to see him stand strong. Not a pleasant thing for him but very necessary. The man is a monster. What more can be said? Great to see his fear of Merlin though. Still smiling from that.
Love Hunith back as a Lady. I am sure she will kick some arse. Anyone that could raise a magic Merlin in a small peasant village would be worthy of respect.
Geoffrey is such a character. I am glad you have given this man more substance. Little quirks such as the small use of candles certainly add to his character.
Gwen will do well, of that I have no doubt. Another very talented forth to be reckoned with.
As for a tattooed Merlin in a sleeveless shirt...well let me just say I am a rather large fan of that (move over Gwaine!)

Merlins visit to Uther was rather interesting. I am surprised Uther did not have more to say - our spew in his case - but I don't think Merlin/Emrys allowed him to say much. Loved how he shackled Uther to the stones. Good one.
Loved the chapter. Loved the little moments between Merlin and Gwaine. Loved Merlin and Gwen discussing her diary and how the two had been such friends as servants. Lovely.
