I think reason people wanna skip stuff is cause this is a slow update type of story so their like man I waited like 4 months just for training lol honestly him saving O'Hara was crazy if it does happen cause that's BIG

He doesn’t need to be that fearful, if any sign of the government coming is seen, he can just dive to safety, since he can breath under water. Can also relocate his money to his training island, and come back for it when the cost is clear.

It’s not like the money would get ruined by after, that would be stupid since the world is all about sea travel. Their money would be water proof.

As for the Shichibukai, it makes sense for them to be formed (formally) after Roger died. Before that, there could have been Pirates, criminals Or Mercenaries contracted to the government. People forget that Dracule Mihawk isn’t actually a Pirate.

You should get him to train to breath through his skin. That way there would be much more oxygen going into his body on a regular basis, as the blood doesn’t have to go back to the lungs to get more oxygen (though that would still be the best place). So it should lessen the need/strain for gear 2.

You could also have him try and change all his muscles into pink type muscles.

The quality of the story is improving. At first there were a lot of t got repeated. But that has lessened.

Nice chapter. MC needs more fighting situations IMO to make the story more interesting. Have you considered having him hunt down various combat techniques to learn? Like the Happo navy shockwaves or original ones. Nothing says they have to be grounded in science. Asura from Zoro sure wasn't. Also since he's a part fishman, some underwater adventures (atlantis like city, sunken treasure...) would be nice.

by far my favorite chapter i just love the classic training weights and oh? that was only 1% of my true power bullshit. plus more dialogue yaayayyyyayyyy
