| Nekotamo chapter 8 . 4/22 Still a great fic, glad to see updates rolling in. I think you write good prose, it is easy to read and engaging. You definitely still have a knack for writing interesting battles. Anyway looking forward to more political wheeling and dealing now that the first part of the fighting is over. Or more fighting, whatever you choose just keep updating ;) All that said I feel the whole prophecy thing was quite heavy handed. It would be enough if Caesar realized the political realities of this land and convinced his troops to forgo slaves. And it would not even be too hard. His men worshiped him and serfs are pretty much slaves, who don't rebel even :P Sure there would be some difficulty but you could make it a plot point to deal with and resolve the slavery issue. Anyway great work overall, can't wait for the next bit ;) |

| Guest chapter 8 . 4/18 While I like this story Roman slavery is so imbedded in there culture it would have to be a slow thing for them to truly give it up. I would hope you will go the realistic route and have the more traditional romans start avicating for it to be brought back after the conquest. It just wouldn’t make since for the ROMANS of all people to give up slavery so easily especially when back in Rome there gods showed no sign of wanting them to stop. |
