agapecentauri chapter 1 . 2/13 I’ve reread this again for the umpteenth time and I swear it gets better each time. Every time I notice more details than before. Everything about this is amazingly perfect and loving and sincere. Thank you again for writing such a brilliant piece. I’d buy this in a heartbeat should you ever consider that option. |
copet chapter 13 . 1/25 A great ending to a good story. It breaks into a calm, the same calm that was disturbed for both at the beggining of the story. Both distraught at the beginning, you made obvious how much the experience was for the better for both of them. It was really worth it to read this story. Thank you. |

Bogglocity chapter 13 . 9/2/2019 I'm immensely frustrated with myself for not having reviewed this sooner BUT it gave me a good excuse to read it again and I am absolutely thrilled. shdfjgkhtgrf I love love love the way you ended this (I'm not going to lie, you had me worried it was gonna be sad with the end of the last chapter but I'm SO happy I was wrong because I might've rioted otherwise). 'His back was to her, covers fallen away to expose the upper half ... A broad hand was quick to cover hers, trapping it against his neck.' - hhhh BACK. And HAND. Having me wiggling from the get-go. 'With the tender sluggishness of early morning, he leaned in and kissed her.' - 'Tender sluggishness' is so evocative and I love it (and the bit that follows, Erik is a cad) '"You…" A broad hand framed her face, almost absently. "You changed everything."' - Insert a good dozen sobbing emojis here. Hit me in the gut. '"It was the strangest feeling, to have—dear God, how are your feet so cold?"' - I snorted out loud the first time. I snorted out loud the second time. I snorted out loud this time too. '"Anything," he cut her off. "What would you have me do?"' - Stop making me fall in love with a fictional character. 'Nature always forged ahead.' - This is just a lovely, poignant line. The whole bit of her coping without her father (and Erik) was really soft and real, and I like that she had that bit of distraction and healing. It suits the tone of the rest of the story so well, and I just like seeing her melancholy self moving toward happiness. 'There had been no snow for weeks, but now the flakes fell like confetti, dancing in the streetlight as though courting.' - That is the cutest description of snowflakes I've ever read, and I've read lots of cute descriptions of snowflakes. The entire wintery walk. The sheer idyll of it. The ROMANCE. Makes me want the holiday season already. And the bit with the fishing wire was just so smoothly done and satisfying both in a 'this is a nice part of the story' way and in a 'that's a nice effective piece of writing right there' sort of way. Absolutely lovely. '"How do I look, then?" "Like you could eat me alive, should I commit one more misstep."' - I love her. I love that he loves her for that. '"Wildman," she teased, angling her face up to him. "River rat."' - The BANTER. The KISS. The ENDING. So sweet and so tender and honestly I think you're the only person I've seen to actually send Erik to therapy. It's a good look on him. In all, this was a wonderful conclusion to a wonderful story, and I'll forever have a fondness for this setting and how well it all fit these two. I'm sad to see it's ended, but incredibly happy with how it did. Thank you so, so much for sharing! |
